thats such a negative twist to your argument... in a sense, the whole game is "go there, kill this, get reward" ... if you simplify the game to that level, then everything they added after initial release is all the same.Originally Posted by Cronnix

It's just a game.
Wow, you are not bright your self, if you can't come up with anything else to do in quests then kill mobs.. Even blizz had few unique quests in endgame I enjoyed. But as said, except that it's pretty simple.Originally Posted by NaitFury
And no, MMO doesn't need to be all about killing. However WoW is.
Well nobody is stopping your inevitable return to Hello Kitty Online, so if all this killing has gotten you down so much why don't you take the step now before you make yourself look even more like a tool.Originally Posted by Cronnix

Sounds cool. Can't wait to get in there and try some different stuff out... break down walls, fly in via plane and try to assassinate the enemy general.. lots of stuff to keep you busy (and farm honor).
Whoever said cats always land on their feet wasn't throwing them right.
Poor argument, more of an insult. You should know better your self that a good MMO should not be all around killing in quests. While I don't mind it, its getting boring after a while.Originally Posted by NaitFury
My main argument is that new BG is poor on new ideas, there is so much more you can do to make an unique BG, instead of merging existing ones, and add a twist or two.
Hmm, AV with vehicles, sounds like it may have promise. Although, I hope they really address the issues here that seem to plague AV, such as almost the entire Horde and Alliance forces completely avoid each other throughout the BG and its more like a speed pve run than anything else.
Anyone who played other WoW games, especially 2, should know vehicles are an integral part to the world of warcraft war machine.
I understand some people don't like them, but then don't use them. It looks like there's plenty of room for infantry in these battles. Be the one to get launched into the keep or dropped of the airships and let other people drive the glaive throwers and such.
People QQ for the sake of QQ.
Annoying AND inevitable.
Could we hear your ideas, then?Originally Posted by Cronnix
Well why don't you go ahead and go the suggestion forum then, if you think you have such great ideas for BG's... I doubt we'll ever see a BG where the amount of /hugs will turn into a win.Originally Posted by Cronnix
But hey, you keep it up mate. I come from Ultima Online where there were more than enough things to do beside killing but in the end it all came down to killing or working for those who kill. If you want to do something else than killing, really Hello Kitty is good or maybe the Sims; in all other MMO's you'll have to understand that killing monsters is the basic economy of the game and thus everything revolves around it.

Woot. Another battleground I won't go in.
If I go to PvP, I want to PvP with my character. Not with a god damn air ship.
Sure. Have this same exact thing...............................................without the vehicles.Originally Posted by Autodidact
These nodes give reinforcements, right? Wait, no..they don't. They just add a little number on the top of the screen. How about when you get a node, it spawns some reinforcements every 5 minutes that help you fight. They don't have to be elite, the just need to have some minor influence on the fight. Maybe when you capture a node, these reinforcements will go and kill one of the opposing general's "guards". They can be intercepted by the opposing faction if they aren't escorted and protected.
There are an infinite amount of things they can do without vehicles, they're just taking the easy way out by adding more vehicles b/c they're "different", instead of being creative.
Not everybody plays a class that is a vehicle of its own.Originally Posted by Elektrik

oh, this is a DK thread? If you don't like your class, why do you play it?Originally Posted by NaitFury
Didn't mention anything about my own class, drawing your own conclusions is nice but the fact is that some classes have more viability in vehicles than standing around being strangulated and beaten down to the ground.Originally Posted by Elektrik
Besides if you want to QQ so much do it elsewhere, something is being added in the game which won't affect you in the SLIGHTEST WAY so why whine?

What I don't like about battlegrounds with Vechiles in is the lack of ability it actually takes, look at this most battlegrounds and pvp in generally require you to know your class and your strengths and weakness to be able to play well, this takes all sort of skill out of that, people can say theyre will be room for infantry in this, but how do we know this + how easily will hte vechiles be able to take down a player, making infantry useless and letting people have a whole 6 buttons tops to use, maybe 2 or 3 they use regularly.
Please tell me this is somewhat instanced BG like the other BGs or did they say outdoors bg like WG? Don't want more server lag. Other than that... sounds cool rly.
The one, the only one.

Every class has more viability when they're in a vehicle that has 2 million health.
Why whine? Because most people don't like vehicles. Because there are more creative things they can come up with. Because AV would have been absolutely terrible if all you needed was a tank to push across the Alliance bridge.
If you're in a vehicle, you can't be killed by a single person. That's stupid. If you see someone in a battleground by themself, and you're by yourself, you should ALWAYS have a fair fight with that person. wah wah class imbalance, i know. I don't want to run around trying to find a vehicle, come across someone flying an AIRSHIP (wtf..seriously), and get gibbed by a bomb because I'm not in a vehicle.
