I have the total kills (10 and 25 man):
FL: 6 + 9 = 15
XT: 6 + 7 = 13
Mimi: 3 + 1 = 4
15 + 13 + 4 = 32

(yeah not really high totals).

They are the real numbers from the PTR. Or do you mean DPS contribution numbers? Because I can get those too.

Yep, or more accurately the stat value compared to hard enchants.
You can enchant your gloves with AP, or with the engineering enchant. But if the difference isn't 40 or more. There's no point.

Well, the stat value is too ambiguous. Haste is terrible for a lot of people and supposedly very good for a select few (just Rogues, AFAIK?).

If you want to get real technical, the glove enchant is 46 IP over Crusher, but it's 46 points of a wasted, B-tier stat for most classes, so it comes out horrible (for me, 7 DPS better than Crusher, compared to 45.15 DPS for LW/Ench/Alch/Insc).

The rockets are about 42-45 DPS, roughly, but then you lose the 20 DPS or so from Crusher, which means, yet again, it comes in about 20-25 DPS short.

If they'd move the rockets to the belt or another non-enchanted slot...

No, you really are stupidly lucky. I'm the only one in my guild (out of 2 engineers, no less!) who actually bother to mine those sodding bosses after they die.

Not. One. Single. Piece.

But I make good gold from selling useless Volatile Blasting Triggers, which I get in absolute droves.

+2 sockets = +2x20 = 40 stats.
So, all other professions will be changed to give +40 stats as well.

Except engineering, as usual...

Uhm hyperspeed accelerators got buffed to 12 seconds instead of 10 seconds.

The 340 haste now has a 20% uptime. Meaning it has the same effect as a 68 passive haste bonus.

For most DPS casters (and some others) this is a vast improvement over the 28 spellpower or similar for gloves. Basicly +40. Not to mention 28 spellpower on cloak is much better than 23 haste.

Since cloak enchant = glove enchant in spellpower, the net increase is 68 haste -23 haste = 45 haste.

Engineering is now on par with other professions (if you can use haste well)

Not to mention speed boosts, slow fall and other very cool gadgets.

Is there any rule, anywhere in the game, that says Engineering has to provide similar bonuses to what most other professions have? Is there some contract I haven't seen that requires Blizzard to keep it even with all of the others?

What is so criminal about having 1 profession in the game that's designed around fun little gadgets and explosives instead of providing another <# of your preferred stat> that you could get from another profession anyway?
