Quoting the useful part of that post, since the site is bare bones :
Basically 3 rare gems = 1 epic gem.
Not even using crystal essences, primals or whatnot. Disappointing.
can you give us a little more detail of what we are seeing? There are some items here that require eternals...
Looking at this image, it clearly shows that Blizzard acknowledges that blue and green gems are crap and are nearly worthless. Needing to use 3 days worth of Xmute cd's just to be able to craft a red gem on the 4th day is kinda funny, assuming you don't buy any other gems and don't get any extra procs. Also, once this patch goes live, it will take no less than the 5th day of xmutes before you see your first Cardinal Ruby on your server unless Xmute spec procs also count for the quest's requirement of 5 xmutes.
Unless I missed notes somewhere, why would you need to wait a day for each? You can transmute meta gems now with no cooldown, I would imagine this would be the same.Originally Posted by Prentice

I just don't see them allowing an alch to xmute 20 stacks of Forrest Emeralds into the epic Cardinal Ruby without some kind of cd. Just my guess but I believe that the xmute for these will regain the 20 hour cd that all of the other transmutes currently have. It'd be nice if I am wrong though.
Brb, buying cheap gems.

Do you guys think the epic gems will be worth more then 60G each?
Is this rhetorical? Looking at the current price of some gems, I would not doubt the first prices to be near the price stormjewelsOriginally Posted by Saraki

Red gems are too expensive these days.
I'm not saying there won't be a cooldown. But this sure is a great way to keep the price for red gems at a doable price. I'd imagine red gems would be going for 3k-5k each if they were as rare as scarlet rubies from prospecting, and needed 4 days for a single ruby for alchemists.
Will transmute-spec work on these?
(just making sure)
Since it is transmuting, probably. Most likely a very low procrate though.

Not true. You can obtain cardinal gems the first day by prospecting titanium ore. Amrite?Originally Posted by Prentice

Btw: anyone figured out the epic red gem transmute yet? (as in mats)
id imagine you can get epic gems from prospecting titanium and id think transmuting 3 blue quality gems into one epic one but probably with a one day cd. that just seems pretty reasonable
I just had an alchemist transmute a dreadstone for me on the PTR and he reported there's no cooldown associated with it.
that seems too op to last >.<
Well no. Epic gems do not equal 3 rares according to your pic... unless I am missing something.Originally Posted by bbr
