Argent Coliseum Armor Sets (Tier 9?) Models Preview
I didn't notice them at first but the first PTR build of Patch 3.2 was shipped with a few models of new armors. I will not claim that they are Tier 9 armors because the naming scheme of the model files was changed but it wouldn't be surprising if it was indeed the T9 models.

Only the Plate version for the alliance is available for the moment. I know for sure that they're sets for different classes because the textures are clearly named after each class, see the file list.

Model design in wow jumped the shark with T2/T3 sadly.

I was excited about the faction specific models... I really hope that all the armor classes don't share very similar models like this.

I bet my ass this is for ONE class and they are the 3 corresponding looks for each of the difficulties' sets.

Look at the sets: It seems they are 'upgrades' all along.

Starts with the Death Knight one (look at the chest section for all 3) looks like cloth, then the warrior set gets a bit plated but still in two-tone then the paladin one adds gold to it and more plating.

I think Blizzard has done a great jobs with the models lately (and throughout the game other than TBC greens) but I dont like the ally plate in the least.

It just doesnt seem to fit, though in that vein the tournament is completely out of place as well...

As previous posters have mentioned I doubt they would use the same model for all three classes. If so I'm going to be disappointed at how lazy the developers have been.

Pls dont make pala/wars and dk look alike. Or if you do make them wear a robe, so wars and Dk's feel the pala pain

Indeed. It's probably purchased gear, not T9.

You still have to notice they MMO Champ doesn't even know. Everyone just assumes and kills it for the rest of us.

Paladin got most gay looking set, but hey, warriors and dk looks the same... gg blizz. Now we have 3 gay looking classes.

Honestly it looks a wee bit pvpish rather then a tier set for me. Could be mistaken however but i highly doubt a tier set would be that similar in shape etc.

all the armor type sets are going to look a like just like they did it before WotLK came out just different color schemes. this is the final patch before Icecrown and i don't it's going to be a very long wait before we see it

tbh the only difference besides the colours are in the center of the chest.

Paladins have the lion (always a mark/symbol for palas).
DK's have the skull (it's been there since T7).
