It's not suprising. They said in the QA that a build built around spamming blood strike wasn't what they wanted. BS is still pretty good even with the change though.

I'm not sure that's actually true as much as them not wanting builds built around Blood Strike to do so much damage that no other specs could compete. :P 32/0/39 was able to put out 5k on dummies and 12k+ with proper raid buffs including a boss-applicable slow. The build lost a minimum of 30% of its damage though. *emo cries*

But yeah, it was bound to happen. The interesting part is even if it's lost 30% of its DPS it should still keep up with Unholy. Poor, poor Unholy...

It's hard to test anything right now on the PTR with, by their own admission, a lot of procs not working. I know for certain that Rime is not proccing on the PTR right now. With the nerf to BS, DW is right now on par with 2h builds in on live terms of damage, but without Rime procs we could be losing a good 200-300 dps.

Honestly, it's rather pointless to test anything at this point. Blizz intends to nerf DK further, so anything that keeps up doing sick damage is sure to get changed before this patch goes live.
