DPS Class Rankings

So assuming all things equal (buffs, appropriate support classes, gear, gems, etc) how would you order all the DPS classes? Assume patchwerk type fight with current Ulduar gear.

If I had to guess I would go with:

Feral Druid
Combat Rogue
Destro Lock
Fire Mage
Surv Hunter
Arms warrior
Unholy DK
Boomkin
Enh sham
Ele shaman
Shadow priest
Ret

I think that's all 12 DPS options (pure DPS classes I just picked optimal spec). Thoughts? How would you order them?

ok if your taking a fight like patch as the basis for the dps how can you even not consider muti rogue?? muti rogue still > combat for any fight where u dnt have to be switching targets every 2 secs! ignis, xt, hodir, IC, general v and even on mimi.

Im surprised to see ret at the bottom of the food chain. I play ret and the last time I did patch I pulled just over 5k DPS and Im decked out in T7.5 and not one peice of Ulduar gear and I was using Jawbone, not Betrayer. I came second to rogue that pulled 5.2k. The problem with Ulduar plate DPS gear is that it has armor pen...one of the most useless stats for ret, so the items that do drop in 10's arent any upgrades for me since they all pretty much have armor pen.

Its a tough one to list the top DPS in fight like patch for instance. Ive seen a Spriest top meters and the next time its a hunter. It all depends on player skill, correct spec and getting your rotations right.

From what i can see, Mut on non movement is greater then combat. Least thats what i read on their boards.

Do you have downs? As stated earlier, mages aren't doing so hot when compared to other classes right now.

Destruction Warlock

Fourth place is a close match between a few classes, mage barely making the cut.

Also, I love the people with skewed concepts about mage deepz. TTW/FB aka straight-nuking fireball is the top DPS spec for mages right now, but due to it's less than spectacular mana efficiency, frostfire bolt can and will surpass it on longer fights. Arcane is a gimmick spec, good for short, bursty fights, but ass-terrible in the long run.

Personally, if I was going to purposely gimp myself like those who go arcane, I'd much rather go frost and at least provide the raid with replenishment in the absence of a ret pally or shadow priest.

Something along them lines..Multi Rogues, Feral Druids, Ret Pallies, DPS warrs and Destro Locks are def up their in the dps...

And Rogues are usually top of DPS because rogue gear and weapons drop out of ulduar 10/25 alot sooner than two handers do for paladins
