Tier 9 Armor Sets Models Preview

parts of these don't look bad, the horde druid set is acceptable..but i hate to say this; on most, MS paint comes to mind. perhaps this is a rough and the final product will have more definition.

Very lame that all the armors of same type share the same graphics tho.

I wish Blizz would just go back into putting effort into gear sets. We're pretty much "power rangers" running around in the same looking gear just different colors. = /

I was looking forward to something more along the lines of the Epic level 60 High Warlord / Grand Marshal rankings. Those were cool faction based armor sets. And the weapons were pretty epic.

I'd like the idea of these sets for PvP. But PvE essentially everyone's working at the same goal regardless of faction so thats where it shouldn't matter what faction.

I don't hate hate the idea but I think they shoulda just made these the new season gear. And have different models based on class not faction.

Honestly if they just swapped S7 models with T9, I think the majority would be happier. But w/e.

You compare the Tier 8 25 man pieces (or referred to as T8.5.) and the stats provided by the highest piece of tier 9 (going to be referred to as... T9.66 maybe?) and you will see that the stats increase is much higher than ever (from 226 gear to 258.)

because of the difference, i am pretty sure even though nearly everyone in this thread does not like it, they are still going to wear it, because in the end, it is the stats that make your character (all dependent on class, not to mention who pushes buttons the best) better.

Personally, even though i haven't seen the horde (paladin & friends) plate armor, this armor, aesthetically, is decent at best. I understand that people are complaining because for the first time, this is new Tier gear that are reskins of pieces of armor, as opposed to the rest of the tier gear that has plenty and plenty of concept art behind it.

If you notice, the Death knight Alliance and Warrior Alliance armor have textures that have been taken from their own respective Tier 8 gear. Some of the glowing jewel like pieces from the Tier 8 warrior armor slapped on to T9, and T8 skull like textures off the death knight applied to this new tier 9 armor.

Like most folks said, even though it looks a little unoriginal, the new content that is going to be released (which by the way, the PTR was and has been going on for weeks now) looks like it's going to be released soon.


P.S:If you notice, all of the Tier gear except for this one, can only be acquired through storming a dungeon or fortress full of evil fucks and killing all the leaders, this is Tier gear that you will acquire winning in a contest of strength and all that jazz.

The T 9.66 also neatly referred to as T9 Heroic, WONT be worn by EVERYONE - because it's a reward for doing heroic version of the 25...

I don't see EVERYBODY doing Ulduar hero modes and the Coliseum should be even harder...

the armor sets are nice but i personaly think thatblizz is losing the enginuity it all looks the same and the diversity is gone (sorry for my english)

Whats it matter what you look like and i actually think this gear looks half decent what people are saying about the military stuff is true like look at the guards in cities do you see them saying "ZOMG THIS SUCKS BLIZZARD WHATS WRONG WITH YOU WE ALL LOOK THE SAME YOUR SO LAZY WAH WAH WAH'' like jeez settle down and seriously does it matter what u look like its the stats that count during a raid are you moving the mouse around your character going ''OMG HE/SHE LOOKS SO KOOL IN THIS ARMOR OH GOD I THINK I CAME BECAUSE THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!'' no your thinking "OMG that crit was awesome" "hey guys did you see that heal/hit it was awesome" so stop complaining already and just think of all the damage/heal your gonna do to your friends/foes and also think of what arthas is wearing maybe if your good to blizzard and go on the site and say "hey good job guys i really liked this patch keep up the good work!" blizzard might just give u armor similar to arthas (this is very unlikely though lol) so just wait and see the stats on this gear

yeah because I like guys who tell me how good their crit was :/
you know what... looks are totally unimportant
melt all races into one so theyll all look the same!!
use the same skin for every weapon and every piece of armor... you know what even for the monsters in the instances
and you know what we dont even need different dungeons... always use the same... just with more difficult enemies

its not the looks its the numbers that are important 20k crit zomfg hooozah

this is an mmorpg it adds to the game feeling to have something "to look at"
lots of people decide on a sword for their mage instead of a staff cause its cool... me being one of them
