    Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

Any thoughts on this? I'm not terribly mad at it by itself. However, I think that using the same skins, and just changing color scheme, for all clothies is a bit of a cop out. Boo to homogenization.

I honestly think it looks good. Holds the same color as the epic drops (which were always my faves). To tell the truth, I find them quite an interesting approach.

    Can't wait for horde priest.

It looks poor, like s4 armor gear that used SWP models, which were utter shit.

It looks quite nice in my opinion, but honestly I think it looks more like a PVP set than a PVE one.
I shall die here. Every inch of me shall perish. Every inch, but one. An inch. It is small and it is fragile and it is the only thing in the world worth having. We must never lose it or give it away. We must never let them take it from us.

Am I the only one who finds gear sets on Human models incredibly ugly? If you stick this set to a Dwarf or Draenei - it'd look 10x better most likely. Human model looks so weak and ugly.

the colours of it are nice but i dont really like the design of it

Model it on a Female Draenei for ultimate pleasure.

Anyways, you must remember what the source of the gear is. This time, the gear is from a Tournament, not from a dragon, or the cache of a ancient keeper.

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

I don't like it being so similar to mages and locks, but... giving all the alliance and horde a similar look doesn't it remind you to the vanilla wow honor gear?

It looks like they are gathering an army before striking into Arthas' home... and they are giving us the looks of it, which are... uniformed.

It's time to take the dust out of our old honor system titles !!

    fine with me.
Making so many models just for couple months is wasting time.
IMO models shouldnt look better every patch.
It should look crap at the begining of new xpack, than make it better every tier to the last tier of xpack.
And reset it again with new xpack.
Now tier 7 looks better than tier 8 and tier 9 looks worse than 8. You just cant make it prettier everytime.

    IT BE UGLEH!

I can't belive they're ruining the hot streak of sexiest tier models :/

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

Whats a waste is paying Blizzard all this money to make a new armor set, which looks identical for each armor-class, and then giving it existing color schemes for each class.

The wait for D3 is way too long..

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

it's the same color because its kind of a "filler-tier" until the next big instance comes around. i would rather semi decent gear than a lot of work put into gear and not as much into the next big patch (after 3.2)

Choosing a new color palette is way too much work ???

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

Rather than seeing differences between horde and alliance, I'd much prefer a difference between holy and shadow sets. I'm so utterly sick of looking the same as my holy counterparts when we perform completely different tasks in a raid. Bleh.

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

Let's be totally fair though, for both Vanilla and TBC we only got 3 armour sets. We're clearly going to be seeing T10 from Icecrown Citadel, this is just a filler tier which along with massive changes to how tokens and gearing takes place are simply to ensure that everyone can be geared for and get a chance at raiding Icecrown, which fits perfectly well with Blizzards scheme of allowing 90% of the player base to see all the content.

As much as reusing the same skin is a bit weak, this is an extra tier of gear, and by the time we add in other bits of gear, weapons, offhands, shields, etc etc, well let's just say it's not quite going to be "3.2: The Clone Raids".

5 sets in Classical, and technically 4 sets in TBC as well.

Remember that blue gear was considered "good raid gear" up to Blackwing Lair.

It is shown on a human male, therefore it looks aweful by default.

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

Oh gawd, it can even be good, but I'll shed countless tears when I'll have to take off my t8.5 items and t8.5 look-alike items for this set, that's anyway way worse than the t8/t8.5

um...remembering the marshal/warlord sets, hordes will probably get better looking sets.

    Re: Alliance Priest T9 Aesthetics

I actually like it... better than the new arena set by far, anyway. Though the thing that I think is cool is that the belt is in 3D. Hopefully Blizzard will start working in new models for gear, other than shoulders/helm. This belt and the new boots added in WotLK's launch was a step in the right direction. P:
