[H-PvE Wilhammer] Bad Karma (Ulduar 25 clear)

    Brief History

    Bad Karma website: http://www.bad-karma.org/

Bad Karma was a Horde Guild originally established on Bronzebeard in 2005. But the foundations of the Guild were formed from a much earlier time. Many of the Guild's founders started out playing together in Massively Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Games back in 2003 in a little known game called Horizons. It was in 2004 that some of those players made the transition over to World of Warcraft, and together on the Alliance side formed a Guild known as Steel Pheonix. As times moved on and the hunger for new challenges increased, for a fresh outlook from a different perspective, the Guild Bad Karma was first established under the guidance of Relic on the Horde side. Those he had met and played with the years previous, became the starting foundations for which to build on, and form a new Raid focused Guild.

Throughout the years, players and people have come and joined us and then moved on to pastures new. Losing a member who has become a part of the Guild family is never easy, but with the strong foundations the Guild was built on, even during the most challenging of times, Bad Karma has survived and become stronger.

During the years since the Guild has been established, many memories have been created, and our success in WoW on all fronts has always been a pivotal driving force, and driven us to the next hurdle waiting to be conquered.

Bad Karma has been a front runner Horde side Raiding Guild since first created, conquering much of the Raid content that has been released to date. Looking for fresh blood on the Horde side to join us in reaching the next level of success, we moved from Bronzebeard to Wildhammer in preparation of WotLK's release, and now once again, we are looking for fresh blood to join in creating the next memories, and to help conquer any challenges that lie in wait...

In the Current Content on Offer, we have cleared the following...

    10/25 man Naxxramas
10/25 man Malygos (Incl 6 min kill 10/25 man)
    Archavon
Sarthrion (Incl 3 adds up 10/25 man)

Heroic Ulduar Progress 13/14 (First Kill Date)

    Flame Leviathian (15/04/09)
    Razorscale (16/04/09)
    Ignis the Furnace Master (20/04/09)
    Deconstructor XT-002 (19/04/09)
    Iron Council (20/04/09)
    Kologarn (21/04/09)
    Auriya (21/04/09)
    Freya (22/04/09)
    Hodirr (23/04/09)
    Thorim (26/04/09)
    Mimiron (27/04/09)
    General Vezax (27/04/09)
    Yogg-Sarron (12/05/09)
    Algalon (Not Yet Killed)

With all bosses (except Algalon) killed, we know plan to start working on hard modes and achievements and are looking for a few more raiders to accomplish the final feat of reaching and killing Algalon.

    Guild Info

We raid 5 nights per week : Sunday to Thursday from the hours of 7.00 pm (GT) too 11.00pm (GT).

We distribute loot using a fair Zero Sum DKP system, where you earn DKP based on our success in a Raid to freely spend on any items that may drop. DKP is reset when we move from one tier to the next to maintain fairness and equality. We also offer Offspec loot freely (see below for more info).

Offspec items - To classes who can operate in more than one single role (i.e. Hybrids who are able to Tank, DPS and/or Healer) we also have an Offspec loot system in place. Where if the item in question is not desired by anyone for use with their primary spec, and no DKP bids are placed as such, it can be given out freely to be used with an Offspec with no DKP cost encurred (Loot rewarded as Offspec is decided by the Oficers, who's decision is final). There is no limit to how many Offspec items can be taken, as long as the system is used with common sense and fairly. It has become a beneficial system to the Guild, allowing players to fulfill an alternative role when desired to get a job done, and we encourage our members to use the Offspec rule to its fullest, though no one is forced to take Offspec items if they do not desire them.

We provide all our members with a Ventrilo service, and all are required to take advantage of this service when in a Raid, allowing quick communication when each second is essential. But we welcome any members to use the service for 5 mans, alt raids or for just general socialisation (only Guilded members are permitted access to the Ventrilo server).

We also have a fully active Guild Bank, which can be used by all members for depositing and withdrawing items (though certain restrictions are in place). The Guild bank also covers repair costs to Raider ranked members, during our Official Raids.

Raid Reports are ran and posted for each Raid, though these are not for personal e-peen boosts, and are intended to help you and others gather feedback on performance, and see if any improvements can be made to help the success of the raid.

We share a social atmosphere within the Guild, and treat each other fairly and respectfully. Outside of official Raids, 10 mans are freely organised between members, and other events can often take place such as PvP groups, and raids on Alliance Cities.

Once the 25 man content is cleared, and on farm status, with time allowing 25 man raids are organised for alts to offer an alternative perspective, and a chance to play your Alts at the highest level. Though the primary Raid progress is our priority.

Our raiding policy requires all perspective raiders to know their class (including the appropriate gear/enchants/gemming etc for their class/spec); to turn up to raids with sufficient buffing materials such as flasks, food and spell buff agents; to read the tactics ahead of time and to show commitment of turning out to raids well before raid start time, and maintaining a high attendance ratio.

    Thank you for reading!
