    Ulduar Progression

My raid group is having some trouble with Ulduar. We're a 10 man only group, mostly in 10 man Ulduar and Naxx gear although we do have the occasional over-geared toon.

We're admittedly not exactly l33tsauce, and we rotate people kind of frequently since there are about 15 people who want to run and only one raid.

So please, after reading the question below, restrict any replies to constructive answers to the question (which has a bolded heading so it's hard to miss). No L2P or you suck type comments or god that's so easy lol.

We are currently downing every week:

FL (1 tower), XT, RZ, Kolo, and Auria(sp). These bosses are all on farm (we usually get 3 down the first night and cat lady to start the next night, saving RZ for those half-hour left what do we do moments. We only raid for around 90 minutes-2 hours 3 times per week).

The odd part is that we've never downed any bosses other than the ones we down easily every week.

We're trying to move on to keepers, but we're having troubles with the two we've tried (Thorim and Hodir). Ignis and IC give us fits as well.

So here is the question for which I seek an answer. All above this was nothing more than background:

Are Ignis and Iron Council easier than Hodir and Thorim? Would it benefit us to get those two on farm before attempting the keepers, or would it be better in the long run to keep beating on the keepers (and in what order)?

Iron Council is easier than Hodir and Thorim. Ignis is easier still, if you execute the fight properly.

If you have mastered the pull on Auriya, then you could more than likely do Ignis and IC.  It is all about strategy.

Thorim is all about getting the right people going down the tunnel and in the arena.  If you are failing at Thorim, try switching it up a little.

GL bro, and don't let the trolls get you down.

Ignis and IC are (now) easier than the keepers. Not only that, I'd say that if you can't down them you probably don't have the gear, raid composition and/or skill to deal with the keepers.

If your group can avoid fairly simple things try mimir normal, its pretty easy....other than that just keep at it, mabey watch a few videos as a previous poster said rather rudely, its not all that hard just have to get some good practice in and understand the fights =)

the extended raid lockout maybe the thing for you.

however, with people rotating in and out. people getting upgrades, and people PuGing some 25s for better loot, in time these bosses will be on one shot status. one shotting a boss obviously reduces your time spent on a boss which leads to more time to do other things.

just a matter of time. progression takes time and effort. you'll get there.

I believe it is evil to send people who have problems with ignis, thorim, or hodir, to mimiron.

Since in my opinion, all of them are quite easy, i can give you no real advice, but to choose one of them, and stick to it, and not switch around all the time looking for something easier.

When it used to be harder mabey, mabey I am just confusing the first three keepers HM with Mimir normal...sorry if I lead you to your doom it was an accident :c

Id say hodir would be the easiest for you guys to farm just target the ice blocks and when he flash freezes get on the piles of snow

are u out of ur mind :O mimi, is what i think the hardest part in progress (so no vezax/yogg counted)!

the best advice i can give u is to read allot of tactics, vids and ask the raid for parts they dont understand.

in this game, the biggest part is skill, gear is another factor.

for example, some groups with full blue gear made the CoT timed run, just because they KNOW WHAT TO DO!

    Re: Ulduar Progression

I'd say thorim is probably the easiest keeper. Freya isnt bad either. Hodir is made incredibly easier if you have your tank invest in frost resist gear, it takes a great deal of strain off the healers. As for IC and Ignis u didnt mention much about them. Ignis is fairly simple once everyone gets used to moving. The easiest way i believe is to kill off the adds til he hits 30% then just tank the last 2 or 3 that spawn. IC is just strategy like mentioned before. Make sure that you have a good healer on your main tank when he grabs steelbreaker and someone who is also watching to dispel fusion punch as soon as it hits. If you have an enhancement shaman tell him to use his maelstrom procs for an extra heal on the tank right after a fusion punch, this is what i did when we first started downing IC and it helped a good deal as well. Also make sure that your taking advantage of the runes of power and place everyone in them who can benefit. A skilled tank can get the boss within range of melee to use them as well. If your offtank doesnt have many interrupts u can assign a shaman or warrior to help get the other 2 bosses moved at the start. The main thing is to keep trying, you'll eventually get them down.

Well, the way Mr.Retard put the sentence is clearly a troll-attempt, but it's quite clear to everyone that Ulduar10, even if it IS designed for ilvl 213, is a complete joke.

To the OP, Thorim Normal mode is really easy, same with Iron Council Normal mode.
