7.5 vs 8.0 shoulders

max dps says that the 7.5 shoulders are better than the 8.0

TIER 7.5 between the two the 7.5 has 43 armor pen. and 8 crit
and the 8.0 gains 8 strength, 8 stam, 18 armor, and 43 hit.
Level 213 im trying to figure out if maxdps is correct or if 8.0 is better.

1. Are you losing any set bonus because of the swap?
2. Is the amount of hit on the 8.0 shoulders negligible because you're already at the yellow cap? i.e. the armor pen being so much more beneficial than the hit that losing it causes a dps decrease.

I don't play a warrior, just a couple of things I've come across earlier when speaking to a fury/arms warrior friend of mine.

Chances are you might be under the hit cap, and maxdps.com is a gimp site and should be burned.

If you are over the cap, t7.5.
If you aren't over the cap, t8.0.

The t8.0 are a downgrade. (You didn't specify the spec)
T8.0 would only be and upgrade if you were under hit cap (as mentioned), although still I would suggest you really keep your t7.5 and change another peice out.

The t7.5 shoulds are like a perfect mix of stats with ArP, crit and good Str.

But according to landsouls spread sheet tier8.5 shoulders are BiS (because of the hit rating).

Eitherway its your choice, as long as you stay hit and expertise cap when you swap your stuff around its all good
