    The sword idea is nice.

Soul Switch could use a little twik. Arthas uses his weapon to gain control and the only way to break that control is to bring the controlled person near death... reaching under 10% health and when the mind control is broken, the healers have to top him off real quick or fear of his dieing.

Switching characters MAYBE, its a good idea but idk if its do-able

but switching UI's? That will require the person to download addons that the other doesn't have...

    Re: Lich King fight

    Here's an idea.

I was a fan of the battle for Mount Hyjal so I enjoy defensive battles with npc's on your side.

In the final assault there will be at least 3 armies. Arthas scourge, one alliance army, and one army FOR THE HORDE! :P

Where the battle will be held I cannot say but both the alliance and horde will be Forced to defend it and it will be a large instance.

All three armies will send in tides of soldiers to meet in a field of battle. In the midst of the battle will be Arthas.

Arthas abilities will be like the ones granted in the quest: Army of the Damned (with plenty more of course)

    1. "Deathstorm", doing 25,000 damage per target to up to 12 targets
    2. "Soul Cleave", doing damage to up to 4 targets, restoring mana
    3. "Gift of the Lich King", raising ghouls from the dead Footmen in a ground-targeted AoE
    4. "Consume Minions", restoring 10% health/mana per nearby ghouls consumed, up to 5 ghouls at a time.

Healers will need to keep the more powerful ally npc's alive as long as possible along with their raid. Since as the horde and alliance npc's fall arthas will raise them up as his own minions. This includes raid members. (Battlerez will be difficult)
Death knights will be susceptible to mind control.

The object of the initial phases will be to keep players and npc's alive as long as possible. After Arthas has used "consume minions" x number of times phase 2 begins. Arthas becomes more powerful.

At this point a small band of npc heroes fight Arthas commanding your raid to take down several portals allowing Arthas armies to pass through.A time limit appears indicating the time you have to destroy all the portals (possibly using siege). Undead minions continue to pour through the portals as your raid sets out to destroy them.

If unable to destroy the portals within the alotted time Arthas enrages automatically destroying the Hero npc's and they in turn set out to destroy the "target". Arthas himself wipes the raid.

If Phase 3 begins: Arthas becomes even more powerful. Arthas instead commands all his undead minions to assault the "target".
This is where the raid is forced to split up both aiding the heroes assaulting Arthas and preventing Arthas army from destroying the "target". Several Raid level bosses and Frostwyrms will converge upon the same area while the armies continue to fight.

The frostwyrms will destroy both horde and alliance portals while the players kill Arthas powerful minions on the ground.

Phase 4: Arthas becomes even more powerful. Finally making its appearance is the ashbringer...
At which point it becomes a tank and spank with the aid of npc's.
From there you guys can think up some other special abilities.

Final Phase: ? (Blizz will have some surprises in store here I bet) Oh, and Arthas becomes even more powerful. ;D
