Mana shield: any good in PvP?

I know it is suicide against healers and tanks, but what about against dps classes, like Rogues, Hunters ....? Do you think you are gonna go oom if use it against Rogue?
In the case you are not Frost specc ofc. and you don't have Ice Barrier. And 1 more q: for how much its dmg absorbtion increases with spell power?

Pretty much as Menardi said.

I usually pre-cast it on myself to take the sting out of an ambush or garrote/muti and buy me the time I need to fight back vs a rogue.

Otherwise use at your discretion where your mana bar is high and health bar low.

sound advice^^ it's definitely good for saving your life, or cutting down a few shots, but you can't use it too much or it simply cripples you.
