    Tailoring 3.2

anyone on the PTR able to tell me if Tailoring has survived the patch or not.
Unfortunately, until the people at Blizzard take time to quit explaining why they are right and anyone who disagrees is wrong, they are not going to even hear everyone speaking out desperately trying to warn them the ship is sinking.
the problems driving players from WoW aren't content or the age of the game, the problem is how the game experience and design philosophy are being undermined by Blizzard's hubris and greed.

Sorry, we did everything we could.
And Christ said to his disciples, "I shall grant you eternal Salvation!"
The disciples fell to their knees and replied, "Give us kings n00b!".

Survived? It got it's cloaks enchants buffed, and some new items, just like every other production profession.

Tailoring has always been nice and still is.
    Why Not ^^

Tailoring is an excellent profession. Silly min-maxxers think they have everything figured out based on 1 item comparison, but that's nuts.

Tailoring is decent as far as min/maxing goes; the back enchants still makes it on par with the alternative professions, and it's the only way of getting manaregen as your back enchant - which is good for healers.

But - if you are planning on actually wearing or selling anything you produce, you are mistaken badly. Blizzard could remove all tailor craft recipes from the game tomorrow and it would take quite a while before anyone would even notice, even less care. All the cloth recipes are horribly expensive and redundant as the effort required to join a naxx10 pug is extremely low. The bags don't sell at all unless you sell with a loss, and the only time anyone want my tailoring skills is if they can't be arsed to pay the 15g required for a leg enchant on the AH and have the mats instead.

So I'd call tailoring pretty useless as far as professions go. Then again, the same holds true for leatherworking and blacksmithing.

you might wanan rethink that last statement.

Leatherworking leg enchants are still ever exspensive,

and Blacksmithing makes 4 best in slot pieces.

Man, your server economy is messed up. On my server they sell for ~250g, and that's a fair price considering the mats. Bottom line, tailoring is nothing but a mount (carpet), a money saver (leg enchant) and a cloak enchant.
If I was a Blizz server technician, I'd hijack a server and use it to download porn 24/7. Guess why the instance servers always are full B]

    TBC, yes.

Early WoTLK, it was trash, until they buffed Lightweave Embroidery.

But yeah, it'll still be a top contender for caster classes, if not the best with the JC nerf.

Leatherworking leg enchants are expensive since they require arctic fur. The arctic fur is the expensive part, often selling for 100-200g a piece on my server at least. There is no profit in the leg enchants themselves.

In comparison, the tailor leg enchants need 4xEternals, 4 spiderweb and a chapass frozen orb. The eternal life at least is sold for 3g/piece at my server (we have many herbalists), fire is a bit higher in cost but not a lot. The spiderwebs usually just amass up after random naxx pugs, and sooner or later end up at the AH at criminally low prizes. The orb is the only real thing that is worth anything. Add there are still way too many of those around. Add to the fact that people sell the leg enchants at a loss, then 15g it is. I'm a tailor, and if I didn't have the cheap option of making my own for the price of a thread, i'd buy mine at the AH. Anything else would be unprofitable.

As far as BS goes, I assume you mean the ulduar recipes. Yes, tailoring and leatherworking has those too. But they are all BoE. Even if you want to wear them, you don't have to be a blacksmith. They can't be accounted as reasons for picking that profession.

Arctic fur goes for around 12-15 gold on my server and has been that way for months. I gave up bothering to farm leather lol.

Actually after the Lightweave buff tailoring has been the best proffession bonus-wise for casters even before the 3.2 JC "nerf".

And it still is a good way to get more bang for your buck from enchanting. Not to mention that levelling it is pretty much a breeze compared to crap like BS/Engi or even JC.

Last i checked blacksmithing gives you 2 extra gem slots that can fit those new epic gems? The titan steel epic weapons sell for allot on my server becuase every alt that wants a weapon "RIGHT NOW" buys them with an ok proffit margin. But the big thing is realy the 2 extra sockets. Do you know how much stam you can fit into 2 sockets with the new epic gems?
When people say "pls" just because its shorter then "please", I feel totally justified to say "No" just because its shorter then "Yes".

The lightweave embroidery is a larger bonus than the two slots especially for the target audience of tailoring (cloth users). So what's your point?

Lol!! I make 1000+ g a day on tailoring. Wispcloak 400g, deathchill cloak 500g and threads 200g each. Sometimes I sell frostsavage set and get another 500 g =) So... it's lots of moneymaking... it's even a moneymaking machine and also it doesn't take long to farm most of the mats.
