No it wouldn't make sense to give ret pallys a deathgrip on 10sec cooldown.
If that happened, I'd like to know why the DK deathgrip is on a 35 second cooldown by default.

Priests should be allowed to have this ability in arena, clearly it's what it is intended for as it is. There's too many healer classes just outhealing DPS and the more healing reductions there are, the better for all involved.
