7.3k dps in heroic am i missing something?

What I personally find the most amusing is that there has been 7 people who all said exactly the same thing just adding a word or 2 to it each time. It's like the opposite of that annoying thing people do where they take a sentence and shorten it down to its key word.

I really doubt it's fake, it's not all that shocking to be honest. An Arcane mage getting heroism and a chain of lucky crits could definitely do that to a heroic boss that'll die quickly.

There would be no need to fake something that is easily achievable..
Especially if there is no personal gain for that person.

Enough said popped all cds trinkets and this isnt so hard to attain

tl;dr the shorter the fight the higher the dps

^This plus an arcane mage in good gear with haste buffs = insane dps. The fight was only 30ish seconds long 'cause he still has bloodlust up.

So on a heroic with AoE trash packs and 3 bosses, and with a total damage output of 200k your actually wondering why a MAGE is doing 7k?? Blizzard, blizzard, blizzard, pop cooldowns and nuke boss = answer!

Blizzard will never do 7k dps on a max of 3 targets, even with frost spec.

He still has bloodlust up(4 seconds left) so the fight in total took <40 seconds; add all his trinkets/CDs and just spamming AB, im surpised he only did 7k =/

as a feral i can say with right setup you can hit over 8k easily on a burst boss fight, in fact ive had fight were i dont even get a full Rip cycle in on bosses and most of my damage was from Bite during berserk, prot pally for kings, mm hunter, enchance/resto shammy, dk and you get some sick buffs

Probably to do with RNG; lots of lucky crits.

I did 8k in VH once when I got 5 shadow bolt crits in a row, so it's not impossible.

Well yea, but 5 shadowbolts =/= 203k damage...

As someone said, it's totally possible, he has BL, and he's an Arcane Mage, the best class/talent combo for HUGE burst damage.
