Where to start?

I play a Resto Druid as my main, but I'm running out of things to do with him besides Ulduar.

I've decided to gear up my mage while my Druid is saved to everything.

The problem is, I don't really know where to start.

I used to pvp with him a bit, but I want to solely pve with him now.

One of the biggest questions on my mind is spec choice. I'm well aware of the cookie-cutter specs, but I'm curious as to which would benefit me most at my gear level. What do you guys think, FFB or TTW FB? I'm definitely dropping arcane, as it's too mana intensive, at least with my gear.

Go to the class forums, and select mage.

I think this would give you a good place to start. And I'm not being a prick - if you are unsure how some of the mage changes have affected the class, this is a great resource.

That site is great and all, but I can't really find a straight answer as to which spec would coincide with my gear level best.

I'm aware of the specs, glyphs, and rotations.

I'm just wondering which of the three specs (ffb, fb, arcane) would be the wisest, again, for my gear level.

FFB for starting, less hit and gear dependent. Alot of people say arcane is a better starting spec, but without decent gear you're gonna go oom very quickly
