DK Arena Spec 3.2

This is the arena spec I'll be trying first.

I chose acclimation instead of merciless combat for survivability purposes (also makes killing frost mages a bit easier), and also with the new DW build it's going to be a bit less bursty, but the damage output should be totally consistent. Also, rime is proccing off the offhand, and offhand dodges etc don't waste runes. There's a bunch of ridiculous shit behind this new DW spec.

Acclimation is useless and exceptionally useless when you're picking it in exchange for Merciless Combat.

The last 2 talents can be placed in Icy Reach or Toughness. Most people would put at least 1 point on Icy Reach.

with some one handers and report back what kind of obliterates you are landing on players without tundra stalker.


Honestly, frost strike is not that great. If you pick it up then you have to grab scent of blood to spam it, but if you skil it you can pick up huge utility in the unholy tree, namely ghoul stun, long disease timers, bigger deathcoils (which are undodgable) and corpse explosion (6k controlled burst is good)

Terrible spec. No UB, no FS. What do you expect for a large burst with your RP dump? FS scales with weapons thus is still better than DC.

Scent of Blood is the way to go with Frost as FS is your burst.

An alternative though is to use Sigil of Awareness instead of Vengeful Heart. With some testing, Oblit hits harder than FS now. The difference is, Oblit can only be hit, at max, 3x subsequently(without the help of Empower Rune Weapon) and is subject to mitigation by armor.

You can check the specs of high rated Frost DK's. They would be similar to my spec which is posted above. Assuming they've already gotten their 1handers.

For DW, Cinderglacier doesn't seem favourable as it only applies to MH. Say you do FS with ToT, the buff only works on the MH. Follow me?

For PVP, you'd want FC or Razorice for MH. Preferably FC for short fights.

For OH, you'd want 50% disarm. Pretty standard.

@Cerberuz, you're so funny, spec you've posted is just TERRIBLE - why? Read stuff and find out by yourself, or get lost. *as for now frost strike isn't the way to go for dw frost in pvp* - just a hint.

Spec which I've posted might be actually the cookie cutter spec for dw frost using OB as its main attack and DC for dumping RP.
