Changes to Jewelcrafting?

Hey guys, I was just wondering if in 3.2, if the Dragonseye no longer counts for any color of socket. I've noticed most of my items and my meta gem no longer have their socket bonus.

Your assumption is correct.
And this change has been discussed to death already.

It's more balanced this way.
JC has a total of ~ 42 stats now, compared to the 40 other profs get.
Still stronger than the rest, but not ZOMGWTFUBAR anymore.

Yeah, I figured that much. Gotta be a bit more careful when it comes to picking and choosing how to gem my stuff now. No sense in really doing it now, since I'm still rolling in T7.5 gear anyway.

From a DPS standpoint, is it still viable to stack Strength, even in blue sockets, or should I go for some purple gems to make sure I get the Meta bonus?

Always get the meta bonus.
Ignore the socket bonus, unless you still need the meta bonus anyhow.
