arcane blast pvp?

I am new to the mage class and pvping as arcane how important is it to use arcane blast in pvp? The cast is long and to stack it three times is a pain, should I stack it once or not at all?

You will definitely need to cast it as you wont put out enough damage just running and gunning barages (although i have seen a good mage run 0 haste and stack SP who has made that work). Try to cast at least 1 or 2 and then add on a barage+fireblast for a little burst. Even if nothing crits they'll still be eating like 8k damage in <2 seconds and you dont even need to use any real cooldowns to make that happen.

best way to make an arc pvp build work is go down the left side of the tree, obviously, and, for the most part :just go with arcblast, arcbarrage (immedeatly after) you can use this as your main thing unless someone is rooted, their interrupt is on CD, other things of that sort, it works pretty well, its my favorite way to pvp
