    Readme: Paladin Forum Rules

    Hey guys,
I'd just like to put this out there. Basically, when it comes to Moderating the forum, while it's not a difficult task, it does take time to keep it clean of trolls and such, and sometimes, one or two will slip past (stealthed Trolls, prepare to be sapped).

As such, while i'll do my best to track them down, i can't always be on the forums, and as such, it's up to everyone visiting, particularly the regulars to assist as best as they can. These are your forums too, so i imagine you want to keep them clean too.

What this means, is that if you see a "troll" (and no, not the kind you know and love in World of Warcraft), you should report it. It's designed to stop "Anonymous" from reporting posts and spamming the Moderators with requests to delete/lock X topic or post.

To report a post, you need to be registered and logged in with the MMO-Champion forums. If you pass that "test", you're halfway there.

If you see a post you consider a troll, or is there to otherwise disturb or disrupt the peace, it's incredibly helpful if you report it.

As you can see, in the bottom right corner, there's a small link titled "Report to moderator" at the bottom right of each post. Just click that. When the next page loads, simply type a comment as the reason you're reporting it, and click the submit button. It's done!

I do review each reported post on it's own and then decide whether to lock the whole thread, or just delete/edit that post.

With all that said, i'd like to thank the people that do report the trolls (and have done so far). Not all posts are deleted/removed, as not all of them are trolls, but the overwhelming majority of them are, and as such, are dealth with in an appropriate way.

    If you're unsure of what is classed as a "Troll", you can find the forum guidlines at the link below;
    http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...efore-posting)

I'm a bit more lenient about threads being "Derailed", as it can lead to decent discussion. However, threads that go too far off the original topic, or drop into a flamefest will be locked, or in exceptional cases, deleted. I'm also lenient to images being posted to say something about a topic ("Faceroll", "QQ", etc). However, don't push it too far, as it'll simply be deleted (i.e. If you're adding fuel to a flamefest).

    Thanks again,
    Synthaxx.

    Re: Readme: Paladin Forum Rules

as patches keep coming and going, changes to the game will always be made. like it or not.

making a QQ thread isnt helping anyone. so i ask you posters, make a discussion topic instead of a OMG SEE WUT DEY DID THAR?! topic. create a topic called "PTR paladin changes [patch number]". when you create such a topic, be sure that there arent any others.

if there will be others which are similar, we will merge or lock it. depending on how a like they are.

try to be constructive. think about reasons why they would change a certain talent or spell we have. and yes, funny comments can be made

    Re: Readme: Paladin Forum Rules

Please keep all "idea-related" posts in the "share your Paladin ideas" sticky, and NOT in the Cataclysm spec topics- This helps to ensure that information is organized and prevents duplications of the Ideas sticky.

    Thank you.

if a users account is suspended, dont ask that in a topic, but rather PM the user or a mod.
