Interesting thing if you watched the Blizcon on Direct TV there was an interview after the class Panel were one of the announcers posed the question, i don't remember the the exact phrasing. But she asked "With the faction change service and all is there a plan to allow players to change their race withing their own faction?" The answer was "There is but we want to get the faction change service in place first".

So you may not need to worry about race/class combos at all.. just change your race to be flavor of the month for the class.
