I was looking at next season pvp rewards and saw that mmo-champion has the weapons rating req. listed as 1800 and 2200. Is this true?

requirement is lowered but there won't be any point inflation in 3s and 5s so subtract 400 points from S6 rating for a more accurate picture.

Doubt it. MMR is staying and there are plenty of teams with a 2800+ MMR.
