The damage reduction from a critical strike is capped at 33%, which equates to 1414.5 resilience at level 80. However, there is currently no cap on DoT reduction or critical strike chance reduction."

Not sure how up to date this is as resilience has since been changed to not reduce dots but rather reduce all damage by the same amount. It could be that a new "cap" on damage reduction has been implemented because of this.

I think you mean what is a good amount of resi to get? or am i wrong.

if thats what you mean then i would say a good amount is about 800.
this stops you being completely owned by things like wf.

i got this on my shaman in pvp gear, without any resi gems or ench.
