How much is enough haste?

I really dont understand how you get so much haste. I'm at ulduar gear and about 2201 sp...but only 196 haste -.-. Should I start gemming for haste more since all my gems are SP. Appareantly blizzard decided to have all gear give hit instead of any stat usefull to a mage....

Just stop rolling on the crit items and wait for the haste ones instead. There's enough haste gear in Ulduar.

Some people are just not lucky and get only +hit loot all the time, and though have no way to lower their hit in favor of another stat.

I have 650 haste... this is purely from gear and my Arc Blasts are around the 2second mark.

ICy Veins + Bloodlust and Haste Potion put them to just under or just over 1sec cast times.

saying that, i guess that you'd need 1000 haste or so to get the very much desired 1k haste, but you're better off getting it on your gear rather than gemming for it.

This is where such trinkets as Embrace of the Spider are awesome.

And to the chap who is full Ulduar gear with less than 200 Haste. Have some foresite. When the T9 bonus was annouced I started rolling on the 'Healer' Spirit/Haste gear ONLY. We are gonna get so much crit that its value will diminish to near worthlessness.
