Blood DK in search of DPS advice!!

I don't know if it has been mentioned to the OP, but do NOT (if possible) use Death Strike when you have under 25 Runic Power.

there is a few times in your rotation where you may

a death strike at the start is to be used to proc aboms might in a situation where the raids dps is higher than your gain

also the 2nd part of the rotation you death strike after a runic dump

at some point you will run into a runic dump where your current runic power is just enough for one or two death coils giving you 0 runic power. This is ok! Just keep on with your rotation

ummm actually your partialy right

dark death vs pestilence is still being tested and for some people such as myself it is better

dark death was good before pest was fixed

now that it's fixed testing is continuing but idk as to the results yet

Blood > Frost / Real Raid Fight ( Burst CDs )
Frost > Blood / Simulators(patchwerk like fights with no +X% damage increase like XT)

but both are close enought.

Any fight with a Burst Phase Blood its better than frost.

You do realize that your Death Strike does 1% more damage for each runic power you have, maxing out at 25.

yes i know this but u l2read i even said that sometimes you should open witha death strike to proc aboms might

we all would start a fight that way if the glyph didnt exist!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Triumph Badge Sigil affects two strikes that Blood does not use. Stick with VH, it's still BiS for Blood.

I wouldn't make haste on this until it's actually proven that SoV > SotVH.
This is most likely the case but still, I'd make sure first

Here is advice...

Don't play blood. Blood sucks. Frost has been proven to be the dps spec that rules right now. Go respec.

Now, if you want serious advice on blood instead of to reroll to frost I doubt you are really going to find it because most of the sites post about relative builds.

Oh, and before someone comes up with but but but blood has comparative numbers it doesn't matter. If frost beats blood in every given situation and blood has no additional utility then blood is pointless. Hell, even unholy beats blood. So it goes forst>unholy>blood which means blood should have insane utility in order to justify speccing it for raid dps, but it simply doesn't have that kind of utility. You can replace the only blood buff with an enhancement shaman, and the enhancement shaman brings 100x the utility that blood brings.

Actually in ulduar 25 gear Blood is strongest on single target by far when frost doesnt get the help of any magic speciffic buffs like 50% magic dmg on hodir :P
Its only very annoying to play and doesnt fare so well on a few specific fights.
I have respecced blood after liek 4 months of unholy and frost to try it out even though i dont like it, and the standart single target damage just IS a lot bigger - that is without me having the proper armor pene trinkets for it and so on.
And before u start telling me how i suck at frost and should respec back and l2p ;p

ofc u wanna make sure first..
but then again according to blizz they put DS into the new Sigil ..
and that was the whole reason i quoted it for the person who was wondering if DS was actually put on the new sigil or not
