    Alch mastery

Got a question that i simply cant get answered browesing around, which is the following:
Has the different Alchemy masteries been cut out???

After a long absence from the game, I think I vaguely remember that it stated that it has, but im not sure now.
Like to know this as i want to change it from Potion master too either flask or transmute.
If this change is still possible, could someone tell me how and where I know it use to be in Shatt, but I went there the other day, and it didnt do anything.

    thx

ps Soz for bad english :P

    Re: Alch mastery

If you want to respec, it still costs 150G and a trip to the alchemy specialist located somewhere in outland.

    Shatt-elixir
    Zangramarsh-potion
    Netherstorm-transmute

    Re: Alch mastery

Cheers for the info Nwo, however, it still doesnt make sense to me, heres why:

Decided to change over from Potion to Elixir, figured that would be prolly best with my alch/herb proffs.
So i went over to the guy that provides me with this mastery, or atleast the quest for it: http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=19052
Conclusion, this guy doesnt do anything except opens the window on recipes i could learn from em (obviously already got em all)

So what am i doing wrong here? ???
I know it used to be, like you stated, 150g to simply throw away ur old mastery, so you would be able to learn a new one.

    Hoping for wise words!!! :P
    thx

    Re: Alch mastery

You must unlearn your current mastery first.

To do that just speak with Lauranna Thar'well in Zangarmarsh. Then you can learn new one.

Do the old masteries apply to new recipes? I.E. chance to proc more epic gems on transmute?

Yes, If you're transmute specced, you can get extra epic gems. It seems it's about a 15-20% rate, and I still have only seen 1x procs so far.
