used to be me pretty consistantly until we recruited this mage that likes to own me on most fights now.

I my guild it goes:
1.DK
2.Rogue / Hunter
3.Lock / Mage
Most fights normaly all 5 of these classes will be up there in some order.
But to be honest we tend to watch the damage done more than the dps, sure u can have great dps but if you are only alive for half the fight it doesnt matter. As the saying goes a dead dps is a fail dps.
Me - Arcane Mage vs a Aff lock.. Sometimes Hunters too.. But as we all know because of the sucky DPS meters, we always top on our own meters. ;D
A rogue and a DK.
However that varies on different encounters and different tries. Even I managed to be no. 1 on some fights => shadowpriest speaking.
I remember during our Ony-25 recently, all five mages who were in the raid composed the top 5 pulling up to about 5k dps each followed by the hunters and rogues.
Depends on the fight. On what matters right now (Heroic 25 Anub'arak), there's certainly one clear winner: DPS Death Knights.
5k dps...top 5...onyx 25....They could just blizzard the whelps and jump to +10k dps for the rest of the fightOriginally Posted by TeriyakiNinjaChicken

Casual guild ftw! Top DPS is either Shad Priest or Ele Shaman who are both head and shoulders more talented than other DPS in our guild. (Hey, we clear content, just... slowly ;D)
On average on all fights, our meters look something like this;
1. DK (me )
2. Rogue
3. Hunter
4. Warlock
5. Rogue
6. DK
7. Mage
8. Ret Pala
9. Hunter
10. Warrior
Fights that don't favor melee, we usually have a Hunter on top, and our Rets have some fights where they shine aswell, tho the Rogues (and sometimes the other DK) are my heaviest competition.
Me- Onyxia 10. 7k DPS...I was the whelp tank. 8)
Sometimes wowmeter be damned. There is a hunter who pulls amazing dps in my guild (although if you are in a small guild- the hunter is pretty much going to get all his upgrades the first time they drops so that may have something to do with it). A rogue is consistently #1 when the hunter isn't there. When the fight doesn't fuck range over (where are those again?) I'm usually pretty close or sneak in on top.
When can these races hurt your guild?
Bladestorming Emalon adds anyone? Intentionally attacking the left arm on Kologarn with cleaves and such- don't tell me you can't avoid that shit.
Your comments are duly noted and ignored.
I punch a hobo every time someone says 'it's not a rotation it's a priority list lol'.
1. me
2. GM (ele sham)
3. rogues (undergeared to be honest)
4. my other hunter (unless he's set for support)
5. dps warrior
the list really does change around though depending on the fight and what we have people doing.
1. Rogue
2. DK
3. Rogue
4. DK
5. DK
6. Warlock
7. Ret pally
That's a little what it looks like in our raid (for most bosses, varies for some)
In my mage's guild, Hunters and Warlocks dominate the numbers. Though that is purely due to the fact that they outgear *me*. My shaman's guild, rogues and Death Knights rule.
