    [holy] where to put the remaining ~18 talent points? (pve)

    Ok so after picking the mandatory talents in the holy tree, im left with 18 talent points. so the question is, spec into ret for 10% instant spell mana reduction, imp BoM, 3% critchance debuff from judgement and 8% crit, or spec into prot for 5% extra healing and a shitload of other useless talents until i get divine guardian for 30 more seconds of SS and 20% more SS efficiency? (DG only needs 17 so i got 1 more to spec into aura mastery or 1/5 benediction). Im focusing in pve, mostly 10 man HMs. i also have the 4 piece t8 setbonus.

    Feel free to PM me about any question you might have regarding LoL.

    Go Divine Sacrifice. It helps a lot when a lot of AoE damage comes in. Also has saved my groups from a few wipes.

    As a quite experienced holy paladin I always raid with at least another paladin, 90% of the time retribution-specced, so I find quite useful putting points into imp. concentration aura, expecially for bosses which silence or interrupt a lot.

    I loved holy/protection since the beginning of wotlk, and I'm having a hard time swapping tier from 8 to 9 because of the 4 pieces bonus set.
    Anyways, if you want to try something harder than just Holy Light spamming, and if you want to bring survability and utility to the raid, try this spec:

    You'll have to learn how to manage mana a lot more, and you'll have to use divine plea in specific occasions.
    When mastered, the efficency of this spec becomes, in my opinion, unmatched.

    Imo is all you will need for strictly PvE

    which then at this point you go
    Ret ->
    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...AjQQPyA,,10433
    Prot ->
    http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...O1wLlaV,,10433

    these are strictly for PvE and depend on your playstyle and feel.

    for me - on my holy Paladin i go Holy/Ret. I like the extra crit, extra debuff, imp buff, extra Movement Speed
    Ret = 10% mana reduc on buffs/HS +3% crit debuf +8% extra crit + 15%MS buff
    Prot = 11% Extra healed + Reduc CD on HoF, HoP + Imp Sacred Shield +Divine Sacrifice

    Totaly dependant on ur playstyle and if Prot/Ret Pala's are present

    For PvE hardmodes you want this, http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?pala...t,8RJR3O,10433

    Edit: Some fights aura mastery is really nice however for example, Freya and Mimiron. So I normally ditch 1 point in Lay on Hands for it.

    Imp conc aura is broken, not worthy to take it.

    Aura mastery is a must have, please.

    Hands down that is the best spec to play with Holy. You don't need 5 points in divinity in Prot tree, 5% raw healing isn't that much compared to +3% crit and +15% movement speed increase. Don't listen to the nabs that say that Pursuit of Justice sucks, because the movement speed buff is the diference between reaching your target fast or letting him die while you're moving, for example (could give a lot more examples).
    You dismiss spec'ing into protection as 5% raw healing while offering several talents in the ret tree in comparison.

    Sub-spec'ing into ret is fine and does quite well, but having a better longer lasting sacred shield along with the ability to sponge up raid damage with divine sacrifice is extremely powerful.

    Even imp RF for taking 6% less damage from all sources is pretty damned nice if you use it right.

    Just put tuskarr's on your feet for 7% and that's plenty of run speed.

    Point is, both specs are viable. If you haven't tried sub-spec'ing into protection, it's definitely worth a look.

    I've tried prot and it's rather nice, but currently am specced into ret for Val'anyr. More throughput means stronger shields, but at the cost of some utility. You really should try both and see which fits you best.
