Doesn't Onyxia have to "Go through all phases" at 1hp, and that's why they still cast spells... ;o
Even so it's not possible to make it under what .. 4 sec + the time it takes to go through all the phase stuff at 1hp

even it she has 1hp, shes not dead- you can take down the keepers to 1 hp and they dont die. its not dead of you can still shoot it!
