Arcane Mage needs a little help :)

Okay, So i recently have been playing around with my spec and i have come accross this one: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-ta...Order+of+Elune

I was previously Frostfire and wasn't happy with the dps i was doing so used a mates arcane spec. I still seem to not be able to do more than 3.1K Dps on a test dummy self buffed. I know my Kit isn't amazing but i feel as though i should be doing more for what i have: http://eu.wowarmory.com/character-sh...Order+of+Elune.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My rotation is: Arcane Blast x3, Arcane missiles if it procs if not, arcane barrage.

A friend plays an Arcane mage and he always says its not worth using Arcane Missles until AB Procs. Can't say more than that as I don't main a Mage myself, Sorry~

Spec wise you should pull the three points out of Prismatic Cloak and put them somewhere else. Nice as an instant invis and -6% damage is, it's not necessary for PvE. Your rotation seems fine. Some mages always cast AM after ABx3 even if Missile Barrage doesn't proc because it's more mana efficient than casting Arcane Barrage. Your rotation, though, seems fine. Remember testing on a dummy you're missing things like 12% damage from Torment the Weak along with a ton of other buffs so your dps will be lower.

arcane mages have a 6 % hit out of talents, also with boomkin or spriest 3% extra, meaning you can go as low as 10% hit rating and still not have misses, im horde so i dunno if you get an extra from another class. This gives you the options for more sp and crit ( that you need ).

You might want to drop the haste gems for sp and the crit stam gem on yer pants, put sp and spirit if yer using it for the meta, not crit and stam. Aside from this, you should be doing 5.5k-6k no problem.

Seriosuly, you cant really get any better than this, just take it with a pinch of salt and try to stick to Op's posts as you can often get idiots on there arguing points as its un-moderated.
