Addond downloading and downloading in general.

Yesterday my computer was more or less fine but froze twice, got alittle hot...

today i've been dealing with alot of problems, ended up neeeding to re dl WotLK along with my addons.
but for some reason im not able to dl my addons or even curse' dl'ing client. im able to upload things like pictures or videos (not porn).
eventually i found that i did actually download the files but they turned out to be broken right when they got installed.

more or less the process that is going is that i click manual install, it asks me to open or save, i click open (clicking either ends up with same result) then it dl's it then it asks me before i can extract it if i want my internet explorer (since suddenly fire fox wont work on curse.com) to allow the process to happen then after that nothing, doesn't even show the file.

i can search for it and find it that way but when i click it iits broken no matter what addon i try to get its all destroyed. how do i fix whatever happend? do i have to reinstall windows?

Overheating can damage your hard drive, as well as other parts of your computer. I suggest running Scan Disc. Hopefully, if the drive is damaged it will be minor/localized. Scan Disc cannot repair any physical damage, obviously, but it can section off damaged areas and repair file corruption.

i did do a disc scan, everything checked out.

It may also have corrupted files for other software on your computer. The only way to find this is to use every option in every bit of software you have installed. Or just say "screw this" and do a full drive wipe and reinstall.
