    Optimal recount config?

Hello all, just wondering generally what you guys check off on this screen for configuring recount?

    Thanks in advance.

It depends on what you're fighting. As far as I'm aware, you'll want to have most of the mobs stuff ticked if you're on faction champions because they don't count as bosses, so to see which mobs do most damage with which abilities, you want all that stuff ticked. If you're fighting trash you won't.

Merge pets with owners or you'll get a whole load of shadow fiends and pets named "bob" on there. You generally don't need to know about hostile players or ungrouped ones ether.

The default settings will do the job most of the time.

It's occasionally useful to turn on the boss information, as it can allow you to check damage inflicted on a specific target on some fights. For example, on Flame Leviathan recount tends to track damage poorly, but if you look at the damage taken by Flame Leviathan, you can see an accurate breakdown of damage sources (perfect for spotting the Demolisher driver who utterly fails at pyrite stacking).

Yeh, stick with the defaults if you're just looking for overall raid DPS, don't rely too much on the damage meter though, it's useful for some fights (such as patchwerk) but not always.

Still, you'll find that right-clicking the upper bar on the addon brings up a menu letting you choose between things like healing done, dispels, friendly fire, the death counter, and so forth. These are useful, but again it depends on the fight. Just keep in mind that disc priests will (or should) ALWAYS be below holy on the healing meter because of their bubbles and stuff.
