Casters in BGs, are they doing too much damage?

Hmm.. I did some arena on my pala as pala /rogue..
we met a destro /rogue and the lock kinda 2 shotted me with 2x 10k crits.. I have like almost 17k hp

When able to unload Damage as they please, yes, some casters are doing "Too much" damage, but if no one is bothering them, shouldnt that be the case?

mages and locks that are geared are fricking stupid;

a mage can kill me effectively in 5 seconds if they can nova me over and over and freeze me;
then pop mirror image thingy and water elemental;

and as for locks with 7k conflags;

someone doesn't arena.... many frost mages still use rank 1 frostbolt even though the mana cost is the same because it's a super fast cast compared to it's full rank. Need to really slow that rogue down but hes runnin LOS? cast rank 1

Thats why most casters have cloth so we can pewpew them before they nuke us down. And ele shammy's are just cake to kill. Whenever you see a flameshock on you, you use your macro and you have about 1 - 1,5 seconds to time your spellreflect right lol. Then your zerg them

i have more HP in full pve gear.. you should get some more resilience

learn your class.
you can spell reflect in battle stance
you can also shield bash in battle stance which interrupts spellcasting
and shield slam which dispells a buff on your target ( ie mage shields etc)

back on topic:
its all about gear. if you had the gear of the mage that was "critting you 100%" then you would be twoshoting them, and killing 4 players at once with one bladestorm

Casters are not doing too much damage. Actually they not doing enough damage.

All high damage spells require a caster to be staionary while casting, and the spell can usually be interrupted before it goes off.
Melee on the other hand have it way too easy. The only hard thing about being a melee is getting in range to use whatever slowing ability they have. After that is rather easy tbh, they just start spamming their favorite attack(s) without ever having the need to remain stationary to do serious damage or use a reliable CC (Polymorph/Fear/Cyclone).

I'll let them nerf my damage if they let me run around with all of my spells instant, considering that a melee will do less damage but hit more often, thus balancing the damage out.

There's a reason why they wear cloth, they die easily. To counteract this they deal high damage.

Conclusion, don't let them cast, kill them instead.

well my level 76 dk managed to lock down an 80 mage and kill him, sure the mage could of blown me up, but he didnt.. so no, not op.

This was actually very usefull, I hope that every warrior out there, that does PvP, read this. I didnt know this, and its a damn big part of my PvP now.
