Biggest WTF-moment in WoW

I searched and I searched, but this thread seems to be gone. Therefore I created a new one. Basically, this is a gathering place for your biggest WTF-moments in instances, raids, arenas and, well, biggest WTF-moments in the game.

I will start by a little story of my own. Earlier today, you see, I was in a group to do Sartharion +3 drakes, zerg method. Having quite some bad experiences with earlier groups, I hoped this was a good one. I asked if everyone was able to do at least 4.5k dps, asked those who knew that they couldn't to leave, and inquired if someone was downright stupid. Noone left and people seemed, well, at least half-smart, so off we go. Tank had quite low hp and healer's gear wasn't the best imagineable, but I figured they could manage since it's a pretty easy fight on the tanking/healing part.
So, we get inside, buff up, have a little discussion about which paladin buffs what, and off we go to clear trash. Once it's dead I think "so far so good". Some people are of course quite low on the dps but I figured they just slacked or did /follow. Therefore, we get into position and do a ready check.
It's about this time I start to inspect people a little closer and see that, well, our elemental shaman has full healing gear. Not just the odd ring or neck but basically 0 hit rating. I thought "Oh Geez, another one thinking they can dps in healing gear...". I've seen this before, a boomkin running in with two mp5 trinkets and doing a whooping 1.9k dps. However, he does ask me to give him a chance and as the willing soul I am, I do.

Tank pulls. Sartharion is facing the raid. I think "WTF??" and tries my best to tell him to turn Sarth away. Too late, raid gets flame breath'd. Damn. Well, luckily noone died but since some people were on very low hp it didn't take them long to get hit by lava strike or an add, resulting in a major case of deadness. Then the drake comes down, tank dies (unsurprisingly) and we wipe. Afterwards I decide to check recount to see if we even have a chance. Well, the elemental shaman in full healing gear actually does pretty good for himself, far from enough for a Sartharion zerg but if I remember correctly he did 3.4k dps. What really surprised me was the boomkin in the group that did a whooping 2k dps. Yup.
I link the dps, and the boomkin gives me the best reaction I've ever seen in the game.

"WTF!"

"I CRIT ALL THE TIME"

Priceless. Seeing as noone, not even if you have 0% crit chance, should be able to do 2k dps only, specially not with that gear (doable for 25-man Ulduar), I check him a little more closely. What spells did he cast? Starfire. Nothing but Starfire. I think I've found the source... Needless to say I left the group presto. And by this time I think I don't have to mention that the boomkin that critted all the time critted about 20% of the times.

Falling through the barrens just walked up a hill while mounted and fell.... kept falling and falling looked at min mini map and i was flying super fast across the land. I ended up landing in arathi highlands.... i hit the ground i lived. I looked up and there were mobs floating everywhere above me in the air doing their regular patrolling. I decided to see what happens if i targeted and hit with my bow. Needless to say they died. i got bored and hearthed.

We see Betrayer of Humanity drop.

An Off-offtank DK rolls for it after dpsing.

So I'm like, Okay no worries.

He rolls a 100
A Warrior in the group rolls a 100.
A hunter a 100.
And a paladin 100.

I'm thinking WOW?

Tell em to reroll, the DK has a fucking HEART ATTACK on vent.

He literally goes off screaming

This was the first time he actually spoke on vent, we figured out why...his voice was that of a 12 Year old. LITERALLY.


He didn't pull good dps either.

That aside,
after telling him to shut the fuck up multiple times, he finally says,

"You guys are fucking ASSHOLES. You don't even know how to play."

Our response:

"Cool story brah!"

They finally all reroll

DK - 99
Warrior - 99
Hunter- 40 something
Paladin- 1.

Paladin and hunter are bummed but they graciously step aside.

We tell the DK and the warrior (Who was a good friend of pretty much the entire raid)
Reroll.

The DK again flips shit.

"FUCSDAJFNSDAJFNOSDAFJF FUCK FUCK FUCK GIMME THE DAMN AXE!!!!!!! PLEASE ILL PAY YOU 25GOLD!!!!!!"


My friend finally speaks up:

"Listen you fucking obese piece of 12 Year old shit. SHUT THE FUCK UP AND REROLL. No one gives a shit. GO FUCKING CRY IN THE CORNER CAUSE ALL THE KIDS LAUGH AT YOU FOR PLAYING THIS GAME. FUCKING FATASS."


The DK precedes to...

CRY.

On vent.

He cries.
"Please, *sniffle* please i want the axe so bad *sniffle*!"


They finally reroll again.

DK - 100

Warrior- 2 or something.


On vent, the DK with sniffles and all yells "YESS FUCK YOU GUYS!! *sniffle* I WIN! GIVE ME IT!! YAY!"

I toss the axe to the warrior.

The DK says

"Where is it guys!? I don't see it in my bags!? Is it in my mail or my bank or something??"

I reply: "You have to go to the mailbox and Accept the cod that we sent to you, when you do It'll appear in your bags."

He does so with half of us in the raid still watching and laughing.


He gets the mail with a Flask of the Frostwyrm in it with a CoD Of 500g.

he PAYS it.

He says, "Okay. I didn't get anything?"

We all type /dnd "BRB BOWFLEXING"

Funny day for us.

Last night I had a run in with my first death tard at 80, yes, amazingly it took this long.

Was a tank in hol, doing a horrible job letting the healer tank (how is that even possible in wrath), and of course letting dps tank a fair bit as well.

At Ionar he encourages the group: "DONT RUN, JUST FULL DPS!!!". Ok, let's do that, that works fine, not like the boss will vanish or anything at the sparks.

After a bit of a struggle we finish the dungeon and the skull clad cleaver drops off loken. He asks if it's ok to roll for off spec. He was wearing Edge of Ruin at the time. Not too surprised at this point, I still ask why the hell he would want that with the axe he already has.

"str and agi is better for dps"

Was pretty exhausted at this point, and just patted him on the head congratulating him on a good gear decision.


A couple of weeks ago I also met this amazing mage, all the badges items, prolly an item level of 220 in average, that was pulling a breath taking 900 dps through dtk hc. 80% of his damage was blizzard too, so it's beyond me how he managed to get it that low, and no afk'ing either, he was participating at all the pulls.

We were in Zul'Aman once, me and an old guild I'm no longer in, we didn't raid much, didn't use vent, used teamspeak, and most of us didn't have a mic, includingme.
It was after WotLK launched and we just did it for the lolz, with a newer addition to the guild, a quite nooby 71 DK.

So anyway, we're on our way to Malacrass, all's quiet on teamspeak, just going through killing agressive trash etc, then we take a break. DK runs ahead into the water, and uses Death and Decay while we're all drinking/eating etc.

Next thing we see, the DK's running towards us with about 6 Amani Crocolisks he pulled on his tail! That wasn't the funny bit, teamspeak suddenly exploded with hsi screaming! He sounded soooo terrified, it was brilliant! We killed the crocs ofc, then the raid leader gave him a right telling off and told him to stay back a bit in future. He just suddenly screamed, and it was like a teacher was telling of a 10-year old when the RL had a rant at him.

Well this is my story:

We were working on Yogg +1 and we had a bunch of new prospects, some good some so bad you want to build a time machine and abort them from time itself. Well anyway, we managed to kill him in the end and we were very happy as you could imagine. We use DKP for our loot so we started bidding on the gear. We came around to cloth piece and a couple of new people started to roll for it, they didnt understand the concepts of DKP so they bid actual money, the highest bid turned out to be 48,320 or so. We gave the peice to the guildy that did not bid with money. The highest bidder screamed out on vent and saying shit like, "WHY THE FUCK DID I NOT GET IT?" We all send in unison, "You are a fucking paladin kid, YOU DONT NEED CLOTH." /gkick
