3.2.2 mage LVL'ing spec

I'm making a mage soon that will have heirloom staff, shoulders, and chest. I'm just curious what spec would be the most efficent for solo lvl'ing , yet would still be good if i was going to run an instance. Thank you for the responses, and im sorry if this has already been asked before, but i didn't have the time to look one i was making this post.

If you're leveling with all that gear, just go fire. You'll kill everything in a few hits before it even touches you.

I say level with frost. you'll be great at AOEing stuff with frost, and frost mages kinda really don't die when soloing.

people will say fire is good, because you can burn down really fast, but frost you will burn a bit slower, but you also will take minimal damage.
Arcane is not really used for levling because it isn't interesting until you can get MB.

so stick with frost, and learn to AOE pull and kill about 10-15 mobs of your level at once (nova+blizzard=win)

With fire builds you will notice a DPS upgrade earlier while low tier frost talents mostly focus on CC and survivability. Frost build's magic starts to kick in after level 50 and gets better as you proceed. In outland and onwards you will be able to handle 4-6 mobs with ease. Fire still provides more single target DPS but is not as good when it comes to AoE leveling.

Pick the one that matches your play style =)

just pick one..it doesnt matter anymore, questing is faster than grinding now so frost lost its edge. All are fine, all kill enemies (although i reccomend against arcane until you get arcane blast...its like specing fire and not casting fireball)

Frost

Great soloing. Average to good dps in groups. And in pre-heroic instances, don't be surprised if you're the only person alive after a bad tank pull...the survivability is that good.
