I believe "largest hit done" also includes time in vehicles, as well as those odd fight mechanics (such as Hodir) that can boost numbers into the stratosphere.

I know watching recount was always funny in TBC with the bombing run Sunwell Isle daily (where you could target Brutalis, if you wished).

Actually it doesn't. My 380k hit was a conflag I saved for the Razuvious adds. If you release them before he dies, they get a debuff that causes them to take a bazillion more damage.
