Weekly raid quests are nice, because they give everyone a reason to go to the lower tier raids.
However, they reward 10 (!) Emblems of Frost, which is the emblem used in Icecrown Citadel, most likely.
I don't know if anybody else has noticed this, but these quests are a joke. They require you to kill
the first or second boss of a raid, are they really wanting you to get these emblems in a hurry?
A weekly raid quest should require you to kill the (semi)last boss of a raid, so you've to do the whole raid for it!
Now you'll get groups that are only going into Naxxramas to kill just Patchwerk or Anub'Rekhan and voila, 10 Icecrown emblems!

Just my opinion. I think it was a better idea to let us kill the last boss of a raid, so we have to go back to these raids to raid, not to kill one boss..

Im sure your scrub guild can take 30 min out of their raid time to ROLL OVER one of the first bosses in the raid content previous to ICC and get 10 emblems of frost.

But maybe you just talk alot of shit and cant kill Loot Leviathon. Maybe thats whats with your nerd rage ???

shadowmourne will probably work kinda like Sulfuron Hammer and Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

a weapon (the "simple" model) that is imbued with essence from the lich king, which has a low drop rate from the 25-man version
and is probably crafted using materials collected in icecrown

Only reason to doubt this is that Blizz said at Blizzcon that the legendary caster weapon would come with the next expansion.

Anyone wanna speculate as to what the stats will be on Shadowmourne? I am thinking strength and stamina as they said it will more favor plate wearing classes.

What is with the change in mana cost of almost all lowerer level spells?

Most probably to accelerate leveling of alts. So they regen faster, kill faster and level faster
