We're all familiar with the Darkfallen, also known as the San'layn, a race of vampiric high elves/blood elves in service of the Lich King.

Death Knights saw several of them in their little start zone.

Everyone sees them throughout Northrend, usually as bosses, or leaders of some operation.

There is one whom you fight in Icecrown, at the end of the Arena-style questline, who is stated to reside within Icecrown Citadel itself.

This section of the Citadel is likely where a more powerful, if not most powerful, Darkfallen resides.
