Talisman of Resurgence and Reign of the Dead

http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48724 i have started to see more mages say this trinket is good. I understand the use being great and the int is great to for an Arcane mage (and the crit they get) but would you use it over say http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47213 or http://ptr.wowhead.com/?item=40682.

If so can you help me with some numbers plz.

Also what are your thoughts on Reign of the Dead http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47316.

I would of liked to see it have a proc or Spell power use.

Its perks are 2 fold. Intel not so much for spell power and crit (although both are nice side effects), but more for the increased mana, which leads to more arcane blasts, higher mana returned from evocate and the like.

its real benefit is from the on use ability, as it can be lined up with all your cooldowns creating a much more powerful burst phase that is guarenteed.

Reign of Dead is a ridiculous amount ahead of any trinkets out there, best in slot for every mage spec.

i was actually wandering the same..if talisman of resurgence is worth taking for arcane..have to upgrade my head and make that merlin robe (stupid northrend beasts hc robe aint dropping) so i dont want to waste 50 badges for nothing. plz give some more info about it
