Tier sets revolve around dungeon themes and color pallets. While you state that the theme is Val'kyr, I am not seeing any sort of resemblance or similarities that could justify stating that the theme is in fact Val'kyr. To me, the set is really random looking... The lack of color is also weighing down my opinion of the drawing. Many sets look good with only certain colors. To some extent, special effects also make or break a set; though, I can understand setting that sort of thing aside.

Ultimately, when I view both your Mage and Priest drawings, I see the same set with different gimmicks strung about. Throw some color at my face. Make your drawings look distinct.
