This is why elixir mastery is one of the best

Was brewing up my Tuesday flasks to put on the AH after getting a sweet deal on some Frost Lotus (a stack of 20 at like 35g each) and this happened to me. I didn't even know elixir mastery could proc that many flasks. Elixir mastery could be probably the best money-making profession aside from jewelcrafting IMO.

I miss the days when Inscription was the shizzle, before nubs re-rolled cause we were making 10 000g a day if we wanted on the nobles cards. (Buying herbs of AH :O)

It's still a nice money maker.

I may be wrong, as I have been away from the game for quite a while and I am back only to do things that don't really require flasks but I seem to have noticed that most flasks durations have been halved but you get two of them. Could it be that you get 2 for every flask, so a 5 flask proc would give you 10?

yes. this is an old "5 proc" which is rare enough.

but elixir mastery is nice, cause the price of frost lotus didnt change with the flask change on my server, but the price of flasks didnt either. so now instead of 35g for a 2 hour flask, its 30g for a 1 hour flask. profit

That's a RARE Proc. ;D

But on my Server, making Flasks cost more to make than to sell thanks to no one doing Ulduar and hauling out with Frost Lotus.

Ended up making about 2k gold in profit in one night from saving about 4 or 5 transmutes, and flasks. Just sat in front of the AH while doing homework, checking every 5 or 10 minute to see if I got undercut.

a x10 flask is the same as a x5 on all other pots/gems

My dad(yes, my dad plays wow) is elixer master, and I needed some flasks of stoneblood for uld one day, and I was literally 3 minutes from start time and I popped in a group with him in Ironforge and gave him the mats to make 6 flasks(3 total makings of it) and it procc'd 10, 6, 10. And I got the mats super cheap(I think I paid like 100g total for the lotuses, and lichbloom. I had a few eternals on me.).

So point is, Elixer Mastery is pretty spiffy. Especially when it gives you an extra 20 flasks. To which I crapped my pants.

transmute master seems like you would have less opportunity to see big gains.

proccing 5 cardinal rubies is nice.. but there's a lengthy cooldown, even if you proc.

with pot and flask masters being able to craft all day, the potential seems so much greater.. if you're willing to put in the effort.

aye, got x5 on gem transmutation few days ago...was like holy crap.....but usualy its just x2 every now and then. but still its nice to see it happens
