I heard that everytime someone opens a thread asking something that is writen in a FAQ, that person loses 50 DPSOriginally Posted by Ronark

I'm going to not be a troll and just tell you that haste is better than ArP.
Pretty much, post #2 summed it up.
Although there was speculation about the T10 2-setter, allowing ArP to be viable as a DPS stat for Paladins (due to Divine Storm refreshing).

as it appears here, haste is better than ArP.
what i wonder, however: if these stats are compared to AP, then why is AP at a 76 value?
edit: 75 instead of 76.
Because Haste/ArP are 1-1, AP is 1-2 so AP is twice as good.
no, i meant: the stats were compared to AP. then why is AP not something like 1 or 100?Originally Posted by Xs
edit: i read AP: 76 as 1AP being worth 76 AP. or is it: 1 AP worth 100 AGI?
Because when compared to "pure" AP (found on Rings, Cloaks, and Leather armor), you'll get more of a benefit budgeting the item stats on Crit or Haste.Originally Posted by nzall
yes, but i find it easier to compare a number to 1 or 100 then 76.Originally Posted by Ronark
You could- But then you'd end up with Fractions- I think 76 is just the Common Denominator.Originally Posted by nzall
just use comma numbers.Originally Posted by Ronark
to take the example for ArP rating:
divide 76 AP by 76: 1. this is your benchmark for calculations.
then divide 75 by 76: 0.98.
now, what is easier to compare?
0.98 and 1?
or 75 and 76?
i personally go for the first one. but that is a bit personal preference.
another example, for crit: 106/76 = 1.39.
you can argue that this is not as accurate, but that argument only comes into play at scales like 1 rating.
i hope you agree that this is a much easier way to understand those numbers.
but i think we are better of holding this discussion in the ret paladin FAQ topic.
Again, I think it is to prevent Fractions.Originally Posted by nzall
Why are fractions bad? I haven't had problems with fractions since 2nd grade.

If there's one thing I'm not, it's in control.
I heard that countries using the metric system (aka SI) shouldn't use decimal values. They tend to confuse values with phone numbers. What is so hard about using dashes(-) instead of periods(.). Seriously?
uh, so people that are trying to find the best stat weights are going to assume we are talking about phone numbers all of a sudden? on mmo? about WoW?

While my post was definitely sarcastic, I was simply trying to avoid an international incident. The simple fact that people can't use enough logic to find answers to simple questions like the one posed by the OP makes me believe that we need to water down everything on these forums.Originally Posted by Eurytos

and we can use enough logic to find answers, i am just having a conversation with ronark about the scale he is using for his APE points in his guide.
Good thing Ret t9 chest has ArP.
