    Going past "Ultra" video settings.

Is going past "Ultra" video settings possible? I would really like to increase my viewing distance, and all those other settings.

I am sure there are scripts you can run to accomplish this. My question is why? How far do you really need to be able to see? How many particles do you really need on your screen? I can barely stand using the camera distance script as my camera is always clipping walls and ceilings. Also, with too many effects at once you can barely see whats going on. Maybe that's just me.

There are macros that allow you to do it. Pretty sure one was posted on this forum not too long ago.

    How should I explain this..
Blizzard have set a roof on max distance inorder to not stress the servers, a macro will not help you bypass this.

OP, if you're considering using 3rd party programs, then I'd suggest you looking into 'WoW Machinima Tool v2' (or something similiar, maybe new version).
Know a friend that used it on retail to enhance graphics, google should find it.

I know a guy in my guild runs a thrid party program to change all his settings past "ultra" i just had a quick look but i couldn't find it...... the program allows him to change almost anything relating to his game.... the one thing that sticks in my head from when he told me was that he can change this game settings using this program so that when volley is cast, instead of 3 arrows falling down, there is over 50.

I'll try and ask him later tonight and get back to ya

Just a reminder. If you're gonna use any 3rd party program, you're doing it at your own risk. Nothing is guaranteed, expect the worst.

Its the creature loading you are referring to, the max viewing distance however does not influence the server load at all! And yes there are macro's to increase graphical settings like Sakera already pointed out.

    OP:
This thread might help you out, goodluck

you could also download wowtweak from wowinterface, it has a great ingame UI and actually is just an addon that pass in the macros how in the way you want them.
