Faction Champion 10 man normal question/help needed

Ok my guild has cleared normal ToC 10 man a few times now but we are having serious problems with faction champions this week.

group up from them
Tree druid
holy pally
shadow priest
hunter
DK
ele shaman

our group
holy shaman
tree druid/holy pally - pally had to leave after a few.
ret pally - tank OS
ret pally - tank OS last few attempts went holy gear in ret spec to help try heal.
mage
mage
lock/boomkin lock had to leave after few.
lock
rogue
boomkin


our main strat was open up with CCs and blow up the tree. we could get the tree down nearly every go within 10 seconds. but thats were it stopped. the hunter and DK would rape our clothies and within no time 2 or 3 of our group were dead faster then they could get healed. A big problem we seemed to have was the shadow priest dispelled most CCs as soon as they landed.

the RL though of chain banish the tree and focus on a dps, mainly ele shaman, but there was alot of disagreement with that saying the tree has to die first no matter what.

so what do people recomend or think best way to get this group down is?

get your lock to rotate banishes/fears on the tree (banishx3 fearx3 rinse and repeat) lockdown the other heals and burn a dps first, thats usually how we try to do it..just make sure anyone with a dispell is watching for a hot incase your CC lock gets caught mid rotation

yeah will try that tonight.

also read that putting any available pets onto the hunter pets misdirects alot of there heals to that pet. so will try that.

who would be the best dps to blast first? the ele shaman or DK?

and also is it worth while having a pally stay in tank and try to taunt/ kite the DK?


a side note. but we have the dps to blow up things fast. the same group earlier did ony 10 in 4:30min. with only a diff tank in ToC to a more geared tank.
