    Re: TOC10 2 healers or 3?

2 healers by all means. I'm always a proponent of throwing more dps at a problem to make it go away.

1-2 on normal, 3 on first 4 bosses on heroic, 1-2 on Anub.

If it's a pug or the people are new to the place I always bring three healers. It's just safer that way.

    Re: TOC10 2 healers or 3?

There are essentially no relevant dps requirements in the normal mode 10 man, take 3 healers and be safe, or take 2 if you don't end up with 3 for a particular night. It's incredibly easy to heal.

It's a lot more about knowing what you're doing than comp, both on normal and heroic. Normal is a complete joke though, I could probably solo heal it on my naxx10-25 geared paladin I no longer play if I had some innervates.

2 healer are always enough if they're good. If they're not, I'd bring a 3rd one , assuming the dps is still enough. The tanks will have no problem surviving, so I guess you should go with 2.

Lol we did that last week on an alt run when we couldn't find a second tank; didn't really even notice the loss of a tank on anything but twins since we all had to be one color.

It really depends on the healers gear. Plan and simple really.

we manage to do it with 2 healers, but we're pretty geared for it (we do it bringing alts and so on)

Idk about the other fights, but beasts do have an enrage on them. When TOC first came out, people died on the worms and then others got nailed by Icehowl (yea fail) and so we had 1 tank, 2 heals, and 1 dps for him. We assumed there was no enrage either. After stabbing him for several minutes, our RL then eventually said "Well, I guess there isn't an enrage after all. I'm sure he would've done it by now.." BAM. Icehowl goes psycho. :P

But yea.. it is hard to hit the enrage usually lol.

    Re: TOC10 2 healers or 3?

Bring more than 2 healers to a 10man is laughable in my opinion in hard modes it just makes it more diffult than it should be having that extra dps is extremely helpful to get stuff don't plus if they fight is shorter less healing needed
-I normally roll with good healers I'm pretty sure not everyone will see it this way just remember it gear matters but to a certain extent the players skill is by far the chooser for either 2 or 3 healers and if that extra dps your getting is also good

    Re: TOC10 2 healers or 3?

If everyone in the raid knows the encounters, knows what damage can and needs to be avoided and can do so, and your healers are decently geared as well as good players: 2 heal it. Stack another dps and breeze through.

If there are people in the raid that don't know the encounters and might possibly; stand in fires, run out of range of heals with incinerate flesh, stand in legion flame, let melee beat on them on champs, blow up orbs on people during twins, or get stacks from anub adds: run 3 healers. When a healer has time to throw a dot on the boss they can do so, better safe than sorry. 2 healing gets rough if people take unnecessary damage.

    Re: TOC10 2 healers or 3?

a few days ago we managed in a toc 10 normal run to solo heal (actually we planned to try and do it safe with the second healer idle, but the druid insisted, so we ended up doing with just one healer at all, rest tank//dps specced)
worm (fully solo-healed, but i'll admit the healer didn't got the poison even once.. if he had the poison things could have gone differently)
jaraxx (smooth, but had the healer thrown by the mistress during an inci, so afaik a ret threw a LOH just to be safe)
champions (fully solo healed, since we had defensive dispel via totem and offensive dispel via shaman.. had to focus on cc though, since we didn't had much healing capability with 1 healer, hence cc pressure was mandatory)
valks (fully solo-healed, but then again according to the failbot someone in the raid was hit 6-7 times in total from stray balls)
anub (we thought this would be the most challenging.. turns out it was just meh.. provided you trample the last add in p3 quickly just to not over-encumber the healer, it's quite easy)..

    raid was
    TANKS
    mt druid
    ot warrior
    ----
    HEALER
    healer druid
    ---
    DPS
    ret pala
    ret pala
    warlock destro
    arcane mage
    enh shaman
    frost dk
hunter (think he was surv specced, but won't put my money on hit since he switches to mm at times)

of course we are overgeared (apart from a ret pala and a druid tank, the other are all 232-245 with 1 max 2 226 items left..apart from trinkets where some ilvl 200//213 trinkets are still a decent gear choice)
