Bound Lightning
3 second duration, Instant Cast, 10-15 second cooldown.
A bolt of lightning is tied between you and the target. For every second of the spell, a lightning bolt strikes between the caster and target doing moderate damage. While the spell is in effect the caster cannot attack or cast spells.
This would be the answer to elemental having an instant on the move damage spell that we are sorely lacking.
Call Lightning
3-3.5 second cast, either single target or aoe spell.
Single target - The caster calls down a large bolt of lightning from the sky to strike the target doing a large amount of damage and capable of triggering lightning overload. Should be equal to lava burst damage if not more. Possible cooldown of 5-8 seconds, though a long cooldown would be unreasonable especially considering a comparison between itself and starfire or any other long cast nuke.
AoE - After the cast all targets in the area are hit by lightning doing moderate damage.
One problem that elemental has is no long cast spell to get the full amount of spell coefficient for a real damage nuke. Lava burst is ok, but I feel with a long cast time without a gauranteed crit, it should be able to hit much harder. Or this could be an insteresting aoe.
Enrage Earth
4 second channel
The shaman brings forth the anger of the earth to boil up and damage all targets in the area. The earth starts to shake doing moderate nature damage every second. At the end of the cast the earth bursts with lava hitting all targets for large fire damage. Kind of like a reverse Flamestrike.
Viable and unique aoe.
Searing Wind
3 second channel
This would be like arcane missles to a degree hitting a target for fire and nature damage over the course of the spell as they are surrounded in a cyclone of fire laced winds.
Just a possible nuke to add in to elemental rotation. With it being 3 seconds it would get full spell coefficients.
Since blizzard wants our totems to be more active...
Water totem
A burst of healing to all friendly targets in a 20 yard radius and moderate frost damage to all hostile targets.
Circle of healing for resto shaman and an aoe for all specs.
Air
Air aids friendly targets in the area letting one single target attack from any friend in the area to minor nature damage on the next attack and deflecting a single attack from any single target hostile ability per person.
We are a buffing class and that would help a lot. That with the ability to add a tank helping defensive cooldown.
Earth
Hits all targets in the area for nature damage and dazing them for 2-3 seconds.
Since the 2 second stun is being removed from fire nova totem then this would be an alternative.
