Horde Warriors, Racial disscusion

So upon the arrival of the new race change feature ive been thinking i would like to change the race of my warrior. However i would love to see the communities view on this matter.

Please include all reasons you believe your chosen race is better then the rest. Dont be afraid to post picks and slander.

Depends on what are u doing with ur warrior, pvping, tanking or dpsing..

Orcs 2hand animations are just awsome I think, so i might be chaning my warrior from undead to orc. Although not certain yet.

I voted orc, because I think they look nice If you want to tank, I'd go with tauren.

Looking BA while dw 2h isn't a fantastic reason but I do agree.

Tauren for tank for the Hp boost..
Orc dps or tank for exp. bonus from axes and ap trinket(more for dps than tank).
Troll pve dps for the 20% attack speed bonus.

All of the races do however offer a beneficial pvp racial.
Orcs- Hardiness-stun reduction
Troll- snare reduction
Tauren- Hp buff
Undead- free fear, charm, sleep trinket

Don't forget that Tauren also have War Stomp too

Anything but Tauren! Just too big gets stuck everywhere and blocks the view from mobs infront of you! (Unless you use Nogge or Deviate Fish)
I'd go Female or Male Orc! Good racials except for their extra pet damage.. and they get giant shoulders!

Don't count on the Tauren HP buff as being something worthwhile for tanks. Since the Alliance complaints about Tauren tanks in BC removed the 5% bonus, the racial's worth around 400 HP. I'd argue the expertise bonus from Orc is worth far more than that for gear juggling. That said, War Stomp is a handy trick.

I see it as:
Tanking: Orc > Tauren > Troll > Undead in raids where fear is less of a problem, Undead head up the list to around Tauren for tanking Heroics where fear is everywhere.

DPS: Troll > Orc > Tauren/Undead since the troll racial is slightly better than the combination of Blood Fury and Expertise for DPS.

Undead seem to really lose out here, but that's because they're so much easier to survive with in a soloing sense and they work much better for PvP where again the fear removal is a big winner.

Tank: Tauren > Orc > Undead > Troll

PvP: Undead > Tauren > Orc > Troll


Undead above troll because Will of the Forsaken has it's usefulness in PvE at some occasions. However, you should pick race after looks, imo.

The idea i had was that orc stun reduction can stack up 45% correct? racial 15% talent 20% meta 10%

Is that true or does stun reduct have a cap or?

Pvp is a huge impact and well to put it simply the anti fear racial seems very good. However the stun does to so i kinda at a loss. I guess what im saying is my race decision is riding on if the stun reductions stack or not.

As a primarily pve warrior, I am going from Tauren to orc. Dps is self explanatory, for tanking I dont really see that hp bonus is make or break, at our current hp levels it is not needed imo.

I voted for orcs because I'm a patriot.
Tankwise tauren and orcs must be very close tie.
Tauren have slightly more survivability, orcs have slightly more threat.

Also you can choose troll female if you want to feel unique. :P
