Feels like this is gonna be the thread where all tank classes are gonna vote for their own class . Anyway, I have always had trusty warriors tanking, and they have generally been the better players in the guilds I've been in. So my vote goes to warriors. Altho any tank would probably do well as long as the player is good. Some fights may be an exception where perhaps shield block rating/value makes things easier.
All in all, vote goes to warriors.

Mostly depends on the fight. But it doesn't really matter since every tank can get the job done.

paladins right now would be the normal choice...its all looking good for them atm... but i think years of raiding would make me vote for warriors :... especially in old guilds that have had the same warrior since they formed...

So really it doesn't matter that much... but then my guild has 2 paladin tanks and a bear with some offspecs for shortage moments... but then again :P I have a warrior alt... i guess that explains my vote :P

mainly because paladin = hugely populated class ( which a lot more have become tanks now, like the majority of tanks sitting around afk in dal/ IF are paladins)

well paladins has the best overall talents with there crazy CDs
bears have so much hp and armor it is not even funny
warriors have many mini cds for very small spikes of dmg and is king on threat (i have allways been able to overthreat a pally tank with i am just trying to do as much dmg as possible)
dks atm just sux with everything and get so much spike dmg you will cry

well go pally if u are 12 or cant play anything. by far the easiest to tank with so go for this if u dont wanna actually play the game
Being a DK tank is much more fun I find.
Right now Paladin seems to be the best - just to summarize:
- easier to heal
- takes less dmg from all other
- ardent defender + shieldwall make miracles
- personal LOH
- DPS, with my gear which is like toc25/tgc10 i get to 2.5/3k dps with simple tanking rotation
- shitloads of threat
- and i personally glyph for Hand of Salvation(extra -20% dmg taken) which is amazing combined with shieldwall.
And yes prot pala is easy to play, but so is druid and warrior. i know at least 10 of each complaining they get bored in while tanking. dunno about tanking but the rune system isnt that entertaining nor complex for building aggro.

Why not? I mean, they're typically unhittable, have more health than an equivalent warrior or DK, while also typically taking a bit less damage and often putting out more threat. Plus, they have to die twice.
