So they're the same speed, yet you felt the need to ask which to keep in MH, entirely missing that one has 255 DPS while the other is 232.

Really, atleast TRY to think for yourself, the forums aren't here for your convinience.

    Re: MH OH

If you're asking that question you shouldn't be getting the item.
Edge of Agony in main. Keen Obsidian in your offhand.

With the Edge of Agony though I believe you're supposed to go Arms due to the Sword Spec buff and gem full arpen [since if you're getting the weapon your gear should match it meeting the necessary amount of ArPen on gear/gems to make it viable].

Supposed to go arms? You've been missinformed.

Arms is viable but at no point are you supposed to go arms, unless the raid is lacking blood frenzy or Trauma.

That being said, arms can kick out good DPS but it's a entirely diffrent playstyle than fury, plus in my opinion needs a diffrent set of gear aswell as gems, so it's not as simple as 'just going arms'.

    Re: MH OH

The one with highest max damage should be in your mainhand.
Reason: this is what gets used by your yellow hits ;-) upping the max damage of your mainhand ups your yellow hit damage, and you should know how important that part is.

Same DPS, same Attackspeed -> they're equal -> it doesn't matter.

Then it doesn't matter which one you put in your MH or OH. Both are 3.5 speed and 232 dps.

Ofcource it matters Edge of Agony has higher weapon damage, that means higher yellow (skill) damage.

For example: http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=47465 (It says based on weapon damage)

If you had Keen Obsidian Edged Blade (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49299) equipped ayou whould do less damage than Edge of Agony (http://www.wowhead.com/?item=48023)

Read other posts. OP stated that he linked wrong version of Edge of Agony.
Also, same speed and same dps means same damage per hit. So it doesn't matter.

    no, actually, it doesnt.

it means same average damage dealt per hit over an infinite period of time. the damage range of the weapons could be slightly or very different. dont spread false information please.

Fairly certain the only damage range diffrences happen when comparing PvE to PvP weapons of the same tier, think they stopped changing that for shits and giggles after vanilla where people, on default, chose the one with higher topend.

Unless I'm misstaken ofcourse, which can be the case.

Ofcourse minimum and maximum can vary, but we need Average Damage. Same dps, same speed mean same Average Damage, as you already stated. When you use ability, based on weapon damage, it won't do maximum all the time - it will do damage in between weapons set range.
    Also, as for this case:
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49299
    http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47884

Same dps, speed and damage range.

EDIT: Appereantly there are no weapons with same dps and speed that would have different damage range.

'Arr, thought so, but wasn't sure about the PvP weapons.
